We preferred the Holiday Inn Kochi for its location and the assurance of high quality hospitality. We were proven right on both counts. Ms. Pallavi and Mr. Taha at the front desk, Ms. Haritha & Ms. Archana from the house keeping team and Mr. Tamilarasu at the Masala restaurant provided exceptional care and services. The checkin was quick and hassle free. It was nice on part of IHG to provide a 25% discount on F&B and other services. Our room on the 12th floor was spacious, clean & well appointed. luggages were delivered at the room in time. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with required toiletries & towels. We wish the bathroom were larger. The housekeeping team was very responsive to our request of cleaning or making & removing the extra bed. The ambience of the Masala restaurant is wonderful. The buffet spread for breakfast and dinner were amazing. The food tasted authentic and appealing to the palate. We however missed the a la carte menu. The Coffee Shop was a surprise for us. We savoured the coffee and the sandwiches served there. We must appreciate the front & travel desk staff for their valuable guidance about the places and markets to visit. The check out also was quick and hassle free. The only service that didn't measure up to our expectations was the Ayurvedic Spa and we are sure that this will be taken care of. In all, a great stay because of the unmatched hospitality of the staff of this hotel. Great going and keep it up.

Holiday inn is one of the best hotels in kochi for a family get-together, during weekend they have lot of offerings in the buffet. Their grand weekend affair was literally worthy and value for money. The rooms are well maintained and especially we would like to appreciate their breakfast buffet such a wide variety we never have seen anywhere in life. Initially i felt like this is so much for a person. But inorder to satisfy the people from different parts of world they are keeping such a wide buffet and makesure the elegance in food and service. Whenever we plan for a occasional gathering we always choose Holiday inn as its excellent in service and maintaining the quality of the food. The private dinning room at the masala restaurant is really worth for group dining. Thanks to Nikhil for all the support and special attention to our group. We've had a fantastic lovely holiday in Cochin. The staff have been extremely attentive and helpful. A particular big shout out to Gireesh who we've had dealings with everyday starting with the breaking our safe on the first day as we had locked it without programming the new code. On the 2nd day, I had difficulty with a Swiggy order and Gireesh stayed past his shift to help out with my delivery. On the final day, my son cut his foot and Gireesh offered to arrange and accompany my son to the hospital to assist with communication issues. We had dinner at the hotel and Gokul made us a lovely coffee. Gokul and Hari and all the other staff has been very attentive and helpful recommending dishes which weren't too spicy. The rooms in the hotel is clean and the bed is very comfy. There was a good selection of dishes for breakfast and dinner and it was very good value for money.

Being a loyal member of IHG I would say from my business trip one of the finest IHG hotel is Holiday Inn. Here people will treat you with utmost care and you will get an opportunity to dine and stay as per the brand standard. Unlike other hotels the professional approach of staff members is highly appreciable, especially when we asked for a wake-up call,dietary oriented dishes special thanks to Binish,Nikhil and Abhinesh for serving us no onions, no garlic food. Our reception experience was marked by an exceptional level of personalized service. When we arrived at the hotel , it was clear that the staff had gone out of their way to make our stay special. The concierge and Reception staff very helpful Fathima , Binta, Joyal, Megana and Alisha I would like mention their name .This personalized attention continued throughout our stay. also the food items eas delicious 😋 I had breakfast from masala restaurant awesome staffs Jophy she is very kind and have a beautiful smile 😊 The reception staff remembered our preferences, from our morning coffee orders to our favorite spots in the hotel. They even arranged for a private tour guide who shared fascinating insights about the local history and culture, making our explorations far more enriching than we had anticipated. One of the most memorable moments was when they organized a surprise celebration for my partner’s birthday. We arrives in to our room to find it beautifully decorated with towels, a delicious cake, and a heartfelt card from the front office manager .This level of care and attention to detail went above and beyond our expectations and made our stay truly unforgettable.

When you first move into Holiday Inn, Kochi, as soon as you enter, you never get a feeling that it is a 5 Star Hotel. However, their executives like Aleesha and Meghna attend to customers in such a manner that customers are made to feel at ease. This customer service and the their empathy towards the customers sets this hotel aside and gives you a true five star experience. They are well dressed, well behaved and very courteous and friendly. They are available at all times to answer to our queries and direct us in the right direction.

The room we stayed did not have a bath tub. Lu Lu mall is about 4.5 Kms from the hotel but the duration depends on the traffic so much more than the distance if you see what I mean! The best beach is probably around 20- 30 minutes from the hotel, I may be wrong here.
There is so much to see depending on what your likes and interests are. Fort Cochin offers a lot - the Chinese nets, the Dutch palace, the Jewish synagogue, the Jewish town, the Kathakali performances etc. All at least 30-40 minutes from the hotel I reckon. A ferry trip which the locals use to commute is also worth a ride. Hope this is useful.
Answering ur questions in three parts.
1. Yes there are lot of restaurants around Edappally (Holiday Inn location). What I do is I turn on the Trip Advisor app and search for restaurants in the locality. You can read reviews and ratings and choose the best. With the photos in the app, you can choose the right ambience and the right kind of food of your choice. And as rightly pointed out by other friends, Lulu mall has hell lot of options. Local eateries and Lulu mall food court are almost priced the same. I say almost because few of the food courts are expensive. A roti curry combo would cost you around 120-150Rs.
2. Since that is the prime city, rickshaws are readily available. But I would suggest you to take an Uber or Ola. They are cheap as an auto, maybe even more cheaper. They will pick u up within minutes. They dont charge return fares. You get a fare estimate as well. Also in Uber, you refer friends and you get 50Rs. for each. Use them for your ride.
3. If you are looking for a tour within the city, you have MG Road for shopping, Marine drive, Kaloor Stadium, Lulu mall. There are many other places as well but all are more or less the same. Then you have Fort Kochi, which is the old cochin. Lot of eateries with choice of different delicacies like French, Portuguese, Japanese, European dishes. Some locations with historic importance, some movie shooting locations, beach side view etc. This is Cochin. Others can add if I have missed out any location. It's going to cost you some money, if you choose a local cab option. If you want a person to explain you all these places, go for local cab which is expensive. If you just want to visit them, take an Uber or Ola for all these locations. Cheap and best option. Take Uber, go to a location. Roam around. Take next Uber.
