We had a very pleasant stay at the Howard House Lodge recently. Ginny and Jim are wonderful hosts and were very helpful in recommending restaurants and things to do. The breakfasts were delicious especially the fruit salad and Ginny's homemade dishes and baked goods. The room was spacious and very comfortable and clean. Beautiful setting. Would recommend this wonderful lodge...

This is a superb B and B, lovely rooms, lovely site and fantastic breakfast. Virginia takes pride in ensuring guests have an excellent stay...people come back time and time again! The fruit salad at breakfast was a great touch.

Within in five minutes of arrival, my wife turned to me and said that we will be coming back here again next year. It is by far the best place we have stayed in Boothbay. Great hosts, exceptional breakfast and the room was large and clean.

Landscaping and woodsy setting add a lot, even though it's not on the water. Homemade buffet breakfast adds a lot. Very pleasant owners add a lot. Comfortable bed and pillows. Shower & WiFi work well. Clean and up-to-date. We could have used a little more counter space in the bathroom, and electrical outlets could have been more accessible, but we...

Nothing negative to say here....this lodge is lovely, extremely well kept inside and out. Owners were very pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful - the best fresh fruit salad we have ever had!!! We had never been to Boothbay and it is a beautiful area to visit. A must is Bets, portions for the price are well, well worth it but...

We absolutely concur with the other outstanding reviews about the Howard House. The owners, Ginny and Jim, make it a wonderful stay. We were traveling from Boston to Bar Harbor and wanted to stop in Boothbay Harbor to see the highly rated Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. It's a halfway point from Boston to Bar Harbor, and the Howard House is...

We booked this hotel on the internet from afar, without knowing much about it. We were just looking for a place to stay in the Boothbay area. It turned out to be a real gem, with nice, clean, quiet, well-furnished rooms, friendly service and a delicious breakfast. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the personal touch sets it...

We stayed for two nights in July and had a wonderful stay. Rooms were clean and well kept, owners were amazingly nice and the breakfast is to die for. Ginny makes all homemade baked goods and a different and delicious egg dish each morning. Excellent coffee (they have their own blend made by a local roaster) and they graciously accommodated...

Pulling into the parking lot my wife and I were struck with the simple beauty and landscaping setup of the office and lodge building. The lodge sat on the side of hill surrounded by trees, outside balconies weld kept grounds and flowers. From the time I signed in with "Jean" who said I didn't have to pay now I felt...
