We evacuated from Florida to Maine to escape the Hurricane Matthew and could not have picked a better place. The room was perfect, beautiful view, balcony, quiet, etc. The breakfasts were always extraordinary --- freshly backed goods, casserole, fruit, tea and coffee, juice, etc. I guess they had cereal and that sort of stuff too but I went for the...

There is a reason this lovely place has survived out of the bustle downtown: The unit we had was immaculate with a small, but nice balcony. Very quiet so we slept with the windows open - just the way it should be! Wonderful landscaping with great ideas for some rock-gardens on the walk to the owners unit for breakfast. A...

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to go for a long weekend very last minute. We came across this place online, read the reviews, and booked it. Much to our surprise (B+B's are really hit or miss) it was everything we could have asked for and more. The location is perfect! Juuuuust outside the downtown area, only...

This place has a great location being right off the highway but set back so it is quiet. We could open the sliding glass doors and hear the rain. The hosts were really nice and funny. They suggested the BEST EVER place to eat, Karen's shack. Don't miss this place.

Curb appeal, attractive and very clean rooms, room to relax, on a hill in the trees, quiet, comfortable, and breakfast will never be the same! Very convenient to get into town, yet away from the business. We will return.

We had a lovely stay at the Howard house lodge. Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Very clean. Very comfortable king bed. You kind of feel like you are staying in a cabin. Bathroom had a bathtub. This is a bit outside of town so you are unable to walk to the main downtown area, which is why I didn't give...

We first visited Boothbay twenty eight years ago, and in recent years always stay at Howard House. It is quiet, comfortable, and reasonably priced, in addition to those great breakfasts on the porch. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. It is just a short hop into town, but the setting is woodsy and quiet. The hosts, Ginny and...

We were 3 couples touring New England and Howard House Lodge was a perfect stay, just outside Boothbay Harbour, perfectly positioned to explore the area of stunning coastal scenery. Our hosts were not only welcoming and friendly, their knowledge and advice was invaluable for getting the most out of our 3 night stay in Maine. We valued every suggestion they...

The Howard House Lodge was the perfect place for us to stay as it was away from all bay area activity but yet close enough for us to get there when we wanted to. The room was very comfortable with the balcony being very relaxing. I mentioned to Ginny that all the reviews that I had read mentioned how great...
