Upon entering, the Inn was decorated exquitely, very festive. I received a warm greeting from the owner, Patti and was offered a delicious homemade fruit bar. In the morning the smell of bread baking and coffee quickly woke me up. During breakfast the staff was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing! I had eggs made the way I wanted... More

My wife and I (senior citizens) stayed here for a few days in October 2012 and had a mixed experience. After a mix up with the booking was sorted out we were given a room on the ground floor of this 19C clapboard hotel which has about 17 rooms. The room was fairly spacious but lacked space for clothes etc.... More

When we arrived there was no one to be found to greet us, just a note on the wall to ring a cell phone number. We had no phone available but spotted a list showing us that we had been allocated room 14 and since there were keys sitting around we made our way to our room. The room was... More

I do take dietary needs seriously. The guest forgot to mention that I did make some special muffins without gluten just for her and her husband. Unfortunately she did not like them. Our buffet breakfasts normally have yogurt, fruit, bacon, eggs. I now have gluten free bread on hand for guests. More

My wife and I were on an October driving trip through New England and we looked at areas we might stop for the night. We chose the Victoria Inn in Bethel Me as it fit our criteria of having a nice location at an easily affordable price. We were able to see the rooms on line as we made our... More

This is one. Nice porch with chairs out front. Lovely staircase to second floor. We booked into one of the smaller ensuite rooms. It was nicely appointed, and though the bathroom was small, it was very functional. Pat and her morning help were pleasant hosts. We enjoyed tasty breakfasts both days we were there. My husband has to eat gluten-free,... More

I booked this on "expedia.ca" with the hope that I was truly getting a 4 1/2 5 hotel/B&B...there was no one there when we arrived, but the son of the hostess arrived shortly thereafter, who graciously showed us our room and introduced us to the neighborhood...the hostess was very disorganized...proof is in her "office" a hole in the wall under... What the guest did not say is that this was one of the busiest evenings of the year. While waiting (approximately 5 minutes) they were able to eat homemade goodies in the lobby. The wi fi was down for an hour or two so in the meantime I tried to help the couple as to where to eat. I personally called... More

We took a rest from our thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail at this beautiful inn. The inn keeper, Pat, went out of her way to take care of our every request, since we have only a short amount of time to do laundry, resupply our provisions, eat, and head out to the trail the next day. Our room was beautiful,... More
