The food, drinks and service were incredible. The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bartender made a great drink. The room was clean and spacious. The owners were on sight and very personable. I would DEFINITELY stay here again. Excellent value.

The Mill Hill Inn has offered a Bistro night on Sundays this summer. My wife and I have enjoyed this creative and delicious affair for 5 Sundays in a row. The Staff is so welcoming and the dishes are always something to savor. We love the ambience and will continue to partake in this unique dining experience. Their Tapas never...

I booked this hotel to stay at the night before a triathlon. I would probably not have booked it except for the other rave reviews on TripAdvisor. Woody and Lee we're both very nice from the start with friendly conversation when booking and personalized email confirmation. My expectations were high after this and I was not disappointed. We were pleasantly...

We had visited this inn during ski season and stopped in for dinner and drinks; even though crowded, they "fit" us in and the food & cocktails were fantastic! So we returned in the summer to stay overnight - this is a beautiful, large property. The owners are friendly and very helpful. The rooms were large and beds/mattresses were very...

I loved staying here. The food is fantastic. I had breakfast and dinner here. A couple things travelers should know...The rooms are above a restaurant that can get a little loud but settles down by ten. There are no TVs in the rooms. One is available in a common area. This didn't bother me. I hiked, MTB biked in the...

Lee and Woody are great hosts and we felt very welcome. We had two excellent dinners, they really serve very tasty dishes. We can recommend their B&B to...

The MHI exceeded expectations. The owners are SUPER friendly and were accomodating to every request we made (from a wine opener for our room / to vegetarian friendly breakfast). The bed was comfortable / the rooms were super clean AND they have a bar!

My husband turned the wrong way in Bethel and all of a sudden we were at the lovely Mill Hill Inn. It was a warm, inviting, impressive home with very large and tastefully decorated rooms. Needing a place we quickly chose to stay the night. Woody and Lee, the owners, are very personable and Woody has phenomenal skills in the...

This hidden gem feels more like a large and cozy house more than a hotel. When I visited just before the summer peak season, we were the only occupants and had the entire place to ourselves - what a treat! It has ample space for kids to run around, and many activities (pool table, fireplace, common TV) to keep the...

We needed a place to stay on our way from VT to ME on Sunday eve after a family gathering...based on all of the other reviews of venues in Bethel, this was our pick! We arrived late on Sunday and Woody insisted we have a bite before the kitchen closed - the food was delicious!! Fresh, tasty and perfect! After...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Mill Hill Inn, originally a barn built in the 1870s, was first converted into a private home in 1948 and then into a B & B in 1977. Lee and Woody Hughes purchased the inn in April of 2010 and renovated this wonderful structure from top to bottom during that summer. The newly renamed Mill Hill Inn opened its doors September 9, 2010. The inn is located just off the historic district on the north end of the Bethel Common, on a secluded acre and a half. This private setting is beautifully landscaped with both ornamental, vegetable, and herb gardens, producing food and flowers for the inn. The leveled lawn space adjacent to the front door area provides ample space for a 30' x 50' tent, suitable for weddings and private affairs. The Studio Bistro & Bar offer a unique menu and a full bar, served in the Great Room as well as in our dining room. The inn has six rooms, two of which are suites. All rooms come with new king sized beds, all cotton bedding, and private baths. The suites provide guests with kitchens and can sleep six to eight people. Rent one room or the entire inn, which can comfortably sleep twenty-two guests. PRICES: STARTING FROM $109 - $119, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY, SUITES - $139, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ... more   less
