Woody is one of the best hosts ever. Extremely good breakfasts, very attentive and kind. The inn is clean and welcoming and has an excellent amount of space to accommodate big groups like we had (20 or so). Free Wifi. Cannot say enough good things about the Mill Hill Inn

Our whole family stayed at the Mill Hill for a third time this past weekend. We got suites 7 & 8 and rooms 5 & 6. Everyone was once again very satisfied with the accommodations and we're always overwhelmed by the kindness of Woody. There's nowhere better to stay in Bethel.

The rooms are spacious with nice views and the restaurant serves great tapas! There are always other interesting folks in for the skiing, hiking, or visiting Gould Academy down the street. The town is great for walking and has beautiful houses and views!

I was really impressed with the Mill Hill Inn from the very beginning. We spent the day skiing at Sunday River and really looked forward to relaxing at the Inn, and it was everything we were hoping for. The room was tastefully decorated and had simple amenities. Woody and Lee were great to interact with, and were knowledgeable about the...

Low key, homey, family run restaurant with their own take on tapas. Eclectic decor with pool table and acoustic guitar available to play. Only open Thurs thru Sunday. Service was super friendly but not very attentive. The brie could've been an appetizer or a dessert. The chorizo pairing was a bit awkward. The prosciutto/asparagus was salty but good. Finally, the...

This property is outstanding, simply because of the sum of the parts...welcoming, friendly and wonderful owners who make you feel special without over doing it, comfortable and clean rooms (bed was super), food was real good and natural- no processed stuff you get in typical hotels! The staff were attentive and engaged in nice conversations. The stove and bar area...

We were lucky enough to nab the "suite #7" last minute on New Year's Eve and we could not have been happier with the cozy accomodations! The Inn has a welcoming lobby with a lit woodstove, soft couches, checker boards, and a flat screen TV, and a bar that opens at 5 for cocktails. After the innkeeper welcomed us, we...

We enjoyed a weekend stay at the Mill Hill Inn. The door opens into a relaxing & friendly great room with 2 comfortable sitting areas, a bar & a blazing woodstove. Our room #5 was perfect. Breakfasts were simple but tasty; Sunday's was French toast, sausage, sliced apples, blueberry garnish & maple syrup. A truly enjoyable inn.

Mill Hill was a good spot to host a large family gathering. The vibe and decor is very, very casual and that worked for us as we had 5 children in our group. The suites have a lot of space. Coffee at breakfast was good and evening cocktails were creative.

My husband and I have been to the Mill Hill Inn several times so when we decided to get married at Sunday River we knew right away that we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner there. The meal was absolutely amazing and our guests felt so at home. Woody and Lee created a great menu, were so attentive to the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Mill Hill Inn, originally a barn built in the 1870s, was first converted into a private home in 1948 and then into a B & B in 1977. Lee and Woody Hughes purchased the inn in April of 2010 and renovated this wonderful structure from top to bottom during that summer. The newly renamed Mill Hill Inn opened its doors September 9, 2010. The inn is located just off the historic district on the north end of the Bethel Common, on a secluded acre and a half. This private setting is beautifully landscaped with both ornamental, vegetable, and herb gardens, producing food and flowers for the inn. The leveled lawn space adjacent to the front door area provides ample space for a 30' x 50' tent, suitable for weddings and private affairs. The Studio Bistro & Bar offer a unique menu and a full bar, served in the Great Room as well as in our dining room. The inn has six rooms, two of which are suites. All rooms come with new king sized beds, all cotton bedding, and private baths. The suites provide guests with kitchens and can sleep six to eight people. Rent one room or the entire inn, which can comfortably sleep twenty-two guests. PRICES: STARTING FROM $109 - $119, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY, SUITES - $139, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ... more   less
