We had no significant complaints after our one-night stay but would agree with the positive comments of other guests. Heat was easy to control, although the radiator could get scaldingly hot if the valve wasn't almost closed (a quaint model with no thermostat - quite in line with the design of the room as a whole!). Staff was very friendly...

This is a great B&B if you're in the Bethel area for whatever reason. Sunday River is right down the road, they have a shuttle, and Bethel itself is a quaint, New England village set into the mountains of western Maine. The food at Sud's Pub was great and breakfast was delightful. My room was wonderful, the bed was comfortable,...

Our "suite" had a "hidden" thermostat that would not turn off and after it reached about 80 degrees, we asked the front desk for help. The woman at the Inn told us to "open the doors" which was difficult to do with a toddler running around. She said she did not know where the thermostat was and would "work on...

We arrived on the night of 'the' Valentines Storm. It took us six hours to travel from Boston Airport to Bethel - and it was well worth it! Great snow and a wonderful Inn! We were astonished to see negative reviews on this site about this inn. We found the staff very friendly and efficient. Food was exceptional and our...

Our family of 4 stayed at the Sudbury Inn over Feb 2007 vacation. We were looking for a pet friendly place near Sunday River Ski Resort and found the Sudbury Inn. It was wonderful. We were booked into a 2 room suite in the carriage house. The carriage house was a separate building from the main inn which is exactly...

Just returned from a fabulous stay at the Sudbury Inn. Accommodations were great for the affordable price and with breakfast included you can't beat it. Food is always delicious in the Pub as well as the Inn. I highly recommend the duck. We last stayed at the Inn in winter of 2005 and our waitress Donna remembered us as did...

We stayed at the Sudbury Inn Bed and Breakfast Sept 25th, 2006. Since I was unable to climb stairs, they placed us in their Carriage House. These were very spacious and clean rooms! Beautifully decorated and very homey! We ate in the Sudbury Pub....where again since I was unable to so down the stairs, arrangements were made for me to...

The room was very small and sloped significantly to the front of the inn. No room to really lay out your wet ski clothes so they can be dry for the next day. The room was a step down from the hallway, which required me to duck as I entered the room (I am 6'4"). I did hit my head...

We stayed over New Year and wouldn't recommend it. Poor service, unfriendly,a carefree attitude and lack of understanding to non locals. The place needs an atmoshpere injection. Fawlty Towers, Bethel style.

My partner and I stayed at the Sudbury Inn for 3 nights and the owners/staff (minus the friendly waitress who served us breakfast)did not speak to us once except to mistake us for another English couple who were due to arrive. We popped in and out of the inn and the lady on reception (the owner?) did not bother to...
