We stayed at the Dakota for one night as we were attending a wedding reception at nearby Dundas Castle. The staff on reception were very smartly turned out, helpful and polite. They explained everything that we needed to know from dining times and locations to the use of the key card system. We were given a room on the second...

This was our third stay, so clearly we like the place and find it convenient for a stopover en route from dropping our daughter off at uni. The staff are good, and the restaurant is a good standard for a hotel in this price range. My niggles are similar to others re room design. All sockets are floor level so...

Stayed at the Dakota on a B&B basis as we were attending a wedding venue at Dundas Castle. The hotel went out of their way to ensure an early check-in allowing us to use our room to get changed, which was appreciated. The receptionist was very polite and helpful and took time to explain the procedures and facilities at the...

A very stylish & swanky hotel. We were very politely greeted by the staff on arrival and made to feel welcome at the hotel. Our room was beautiful and even had prosecco, chocolates and a little gift from The White Company, waiting for us! Everything about our room was top notch!! The restaurant was also delicious and faultless. I would...

Looks great, but approach gives an indication of things to come with poor signage and then a closed curtain entrance that will confuse any partially sighted guests. The poor wayfinding continues as a them to spoil what what probably an expensive architectural theme. the theme however seems lost, as are many of the usual details like where to locate the...

This hotel is now my favourite. From the email correspondence before we arrived, the lovely lady helped to make our anniversary special. Then on arrival we were upgraded to the suite. All staff were so friendly, the turndown was fab. Comfiest bed I have slept in. Loved it so much, we have rebooked already. Top marks Dakota!!

Booked an executive room for our 20th wedding anniversary. On arrival the friendly receptionist informed us that because it was our anniversary they had upgraded us to a signature suite. The room was fantastic, very plush and comfortable. We were invited to visit the executive lounge before our meal, which we did, and received first class service from Sabato, including...

Great hotel, comfortable rooms to relax in. To hand is a knowledgeable/warm/friendly team always available with a smile. Its location is very convenient for Airport access & late evening drink in Queensferry.

From the moment we were collected from the airport, right through to reception, bar and restaurant staff, each member of staff was cheerful, very helpful and the service impeccable. A great find and we will certainly be returning. Room was excellent, good size and well laid out. Bar was well stocked and the food at dinner was superb. A pity...
