Wonderful room wth everything you need, very comfortable and fabulous views. Great host - James, very charming and helpful. Delicious breakfast and access to a kitchen for extra teas, coffee, fruit etc. Only wish I had more time there.

There is so many good things to say about this lovely place. First the owner James is wonderful. We got a bit lost on the way in and within 2 mins he found us and we followed him back to the house. He was very friendly and funny! Made us feel right at home and made sure we felt comfortable...

Nothing is to much trouble for the hosts at this 5* b&b. From the time we rang the bell it was as if you were visiting friends. You can use the kitchen and were told that there was wine or beers in the fridge if we wanted them and in the dining room there was a coffee maker with muffins...

Charming and cozy. That’s how I’d describe my wonderful stay in the stone thatch cottage run by Parkhead House. We stayed here the last night of our two week Scottish vacation and we saved the best for last. James was incredibly nice and went out of his way to accommodate us. He even led us down the road to Midhope...

We stayed overnight for a wedding in Hopetoun House. James & Angela absolutely could not have been more helpful and friendly - including a lift back from the house at midnight! Fantastic comfy rooms with every possible need provided for and a great hangover-busting breakfast the next morning. Thank you so much! Katy & Rob

We stayed at the Hotel with our Labrador dog, Annie (this is her review).. From the moment of reservation nothing was too much trouble for James and Angela who collected us across the river at Inverkeithing and then afterwards to Dundas Castle where a wedding was the order of the day. I (Annie) remained at the Hotel where James walked...

Right in the backyard of the magnificent Hopetoun, Parkhead House provided us rural charm along and lavish Scottish hospitality from the proprietor, James. We took short walk to the local pub for a lovely dinner, but it's also just a couple of miles into Queensferry if you are looking for a night on the town. As we were waking the...
