This place was a saving grace after leaving a bad hotel experience and needing somewhere to stay. I was in town for a 6 hour exam the next day and needed a nice & quiet place to sleep. They were so accommodating and even changed our room as soon as we got it because of the building’s AC unit being right outside the window & the possibility that it might be loud at night. It was so nice to see happy people, happy with their job, polite, & caring. Parking was a breeze, you can self park or valet, and the parking garage is right across the street.
We reserved a really nice executive suite with two full baths and LOVED it! This wasn’t the most stylish or luxurious hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but the all-around package was unbeatable. Both rooms in the suite were just sooo comfortable, spacious and well-cleaned that I would be happy to stay here for a couple of months :) The only downside was perhaps the somewhat weak breakfast, but hopefully that’ll change when Shreveport continues its covid recovery. I truly can’t wait to return!
We stayed at this hotel for a Family Reunion. Upon entering our Executive Suite with bathrooms after checking in we noticed two things immediately, the sleeper sofa was sunk in and the 1st bathroom the bathtub had rust stains. We went down to the front desk to discuss the issues. The front desk representative went back up to the room with us to see what she could do, the sofa ended up being an easy fix, the mattress was missing and they brought in a mattress. We still don’t understand how housekeeping let that one go and deem the room ready for occupancy. The second issue the rust stains in the tub could not be fixed with us occupying the room, apparently it is a 48 hour process and due to the fumes the room needs to be empty. We did not use that bathroom to shower, we just used the other bathroom. There were other little issues like the linens for the sleeper sofa being thrown in the closet to the point were I questioned if they were clean. Other issues included holes/rips in the lap shade and the drapes hanging oddly because some of it was off track. We were given 10k in Hilton Honors points and a free entree for our family of 3 by the manager as per the front desk representative. At no point did anyone follow up with us from management regarding our experience and we asked to speak with a Manager on duty. I would have preferred not to have the experience in lieu of the token perks. Attention to detail and quality assurance was missing from this property.…
Staff was great, accommodating in everything. Getting in and out of the hotel was tricky with one way streets, and the hotel parking garage is across the street. The hotel is attached to the convention center, which had no internet WiFi access. It’s on the corner of Market Street and Caddo, and uses both addresses for the same hotel. Rooms were good, clean and in good repair. Don’t eat at the restaurant unless you have tons of time to wait. We waited half an hour without even a glass of water offered. We left, walked half a mile to somewhere else, ate, and returned to see the same people just beginning their meal. The hot tub is not functioning, and we heard will probably be removed during the upcoming remodel. The rooftop pool was small. Be sure to let them know if you are an Honors member for WiFi and parking privileges.…
Arrived at the hotel with a small 10ft uhaul truck after long day of driving. Upon arrival we were notified by the valet and hotel staff, that we were allowed to park in the overflow lot for "self-park" advertised at $8.00 per day. Next day we learned we were charged $35.00 for the right to self- park in the empty lot which was designated for RV parking. Hotel management charged us $35.00 and refused to take it off the bill claiming the parking was handled by an independent contract company. The hotel is in a sketchy location and had we known the parking situation was not as advertised we would have chosen another hotel. Just seems a little sneaky to take advantage of clients this way.
I received an email prior to arrival indicating I was being upgraded. Expecting a junior suite. Instead we received a higher level room with a "river" view. Our first room's bed did not look like it was made and the duvet was dirty. Our second room was much better. Parking is in a structure across the street which you probably could have parked for free but we were charged $8. Breakfast downstairs was good. Overall, for the price, expected a little bit more.
Breakfast was amazing, the girls behind the bar was very attentive and cordial, the quality of food was excellent and fresh, you could tell the ingredients were fresh. Also the receptionist was very polite and accommodating
The location is great for individuals, families, and business! We stayed with our kids and everyone had good time. The rooms were clean and quiet. The parking was great and the restaurant had good food for the price.
Don’t stay here unless you want to pay $30 for a burger or $8 a day for SELF PARKiNG. No thank you. Never again. Also there was no microwave and stains on the sheets and pillows. I will not be recommending this hotel to any of my coleges.
My husband is easier to please than I am -- he checked in before I joined him so accepted the second floor room with a view of the air conditioners without requesting a different one. OK, that's on us. No problem--we were only there to sleep anyway. However--we were disappointed in a number of other ways: 1. Coffee maker didn't work well--never produced a full cup of coffee. 2.Safe was nonfunctional 3.Only two bath towels were provided 4.The room had not been cleaned well before our arrival -- there were children's markers under the curtains and dust on all the lamps. I do hope the sheets had been changed! Bathroom was clean so I will assume sheets were also. 5.No housekeeping service unless one requested it the "day before." We were unaware of that so surprised to find our room not made up and no fresh coffee packets or toiletries. Oh well, Covid, etc. . . . 6. Masks were "required" in the hotel but almost no one was wearing one--see belowl All in all a very nice hotel but a little lax in the service area.…
