My husband & I spent three wonderful days at the Myrtle Plantation. The first night we stayed in the Ruffin-Sterling Room. The second night, our anniversary night, we stayed in the Judge Clark Woodruff suite & the third was spent in the John Leake room. Words cannot express how much of a wonderful place this is. The grounds & house...

Great place to spend the weekend or a couple of nights. Breakfast is excellent and fulfilling. No ghost experience happened to us. There is a lot of places to eat near by ranging in price from expensive to affordable. I recommend the experience and the tour to anyone.

I absolutely loved this place! The staff, including the owner's son who manages the place were beyond helpful and courteous! I was so impressed by everybody on their staff, from office, tour guides, restaurant staff and the list goes on! Food was out of this world and the place was immaculate. I can't say anything about the spirits/ghosts, (thankfully I...

I first heard about The Myrtles several years ago on the Travel Channel, and I've always wanted to visit. I'm a sucker for a good ghost story, and I like staying in hotels and bed and breakfasts with an interesting past. I would recommend this place if you are into that sort of thing, or even if you're just interested...

1796 was the year the Plantation House was completed on Myrtles Plantation. On our tour of the South we were looking forward to our one night stay at Myrtles, both because of the historical thrill of staying in such a Plantation House and because Myrtles Plantation is haunted. The Plantation House has 4 guest rooms and 2 suites. Our suite,...

My family recently stayed in several plantations in Louisiana, the Myrtles being one of them. We occupied both a cabin and the William Winter room of the main house. While we have no great complaints about the cabin other than it was buggy, the room in the main house left much to be desired. While the downstairs of the house...

4 of us family members wanted to stay a night in the main house. we booked the william winters room and the ruffin sterling room because they have a door that joins them. they were nice clean rooms and everything was historically with an antique feel. we had appetizers and drinks at the carriage house that were terrific. the bartender...

First, remember you are staying at The Myrtles not because it is a plush resort but because of the history and because it is one of the most haunted houses in America. Set your expectations accordingly. We stayed in the Judge Clark Woodruff suite. Nothing spectral happened but was a wonderful experience. We especially enjoyed that we were the only...

We happened upon this plantation and weren't very impressed. The guide that took us through the house was too busy telling jokes to make the tour interesting. Part way though the tour another employee interrupted us to turn out a porch light. This could have waited. Not allowed to take any pictures. Not too sure why. After checking on Wikipedia...

My husband, son, and I came on a Saturday in early June we saw the plantation on tv and had to visit. Our first impression was the beautiful and welcoming grounds. The lady at the desk was as beautiful as she was nice. She was more than happy to accommodate us and our elderly mother in law. We stayed in...

“My sister and I stayed in the Judge's Suite and my dad stayed in what they refer to as the William Winter's room. If you plan to stay the night and happen to be a chicken like me, I would advise skipping the Mystery Tour until after you have stayed the night. I felt more uneasy after hearing of the experiences others have had than I was before knowing. I believe the Myrtles is haunted.”
