We enjoyed every minute at The Myrtles Plantation. We stayed two nights at this charming bed and breakfast. We were blessed with the opportunity to stay in the Live Oak cabin the first night. The cabin was super clean and spacious. We moved into the Caretakers Cottage for the second night. I could have stayed longer. So cute, tidy and...

My 15 year old daughter and I visited the plantation while visiting Baton Rouge. We enjoyed learning about the stories of the plantation and history of the time period. Our guide, Miss Connie was elegant, humorous, and very informative. She is a professional story teller who engages her audience with dramatic expression. Although we didn't see any ghosts or spirits,...

Did not stay at the Myrtles but at another plantation. We did visit the Carriage House restaurant both Friday and Saturday nights for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was very good. The wine was fantastic, Carriage House Merlot and Chardonnay (Free Run Wine Co. St Helena, Ca.). Bought two bottles to take home !!

From the very beginning, all the staff members made me feel like home. They were incredibly kind and helpful when I had questions about visits around St Francisville and even morning runs! The room (Camelia, part of the Garden Rooms) was absolutely incredible, very modern and clean, and the breakfast is probably one of the best I ever had, I...

I stood in the William Winter room for a night as I enjoy taking ghost tours and visiting "haunted" sites. You receive a free history tour of the site when you book a room. The guides were very knowledgeable and answered all the questions that I had about the history and the hauntings. I did not experience any paranormal phenomenon...

The Myrtles has a wonderful atmosphere of Southern hospitality. From check-in to departure the staff was friendly. We stayed in the Cypress cabin for one night and overall our stay was positive. There were several comforts seemingly overlooked by our hosts. These included a weak wifi signal in our cabin and no in-room amenities like coffee or ice. The cabins...

We stayed at The Myrtles for our anniversary and look forward to many return visits! We stayed in the John Leake room, which had been recently renovated. Everyone was so welcoming from the staff at the gift shop, to the tour guides and even John Moss (the owner himself!). We enjoyed dinner at the Carriage House restaurant before we took...

My boyfriend and I, decided to stay the night here in the caretaker quarters. Another couple joined us for the night, it was beautiful and the staff is very nice and attentive. We was hoping to see something spooky happen but maybe we was trying to hard. This just gives us another reason to go back. The morning of our...

“My sister and I stayed in the Judge's Suite and my dad stayed in what they refer to as the William Winter's room. If you plan to stay the night and happen to be a chicken like me, I would advise skipping the Mystery Tour until after you have stayed the night. I felt more uneasy after hearing of the experiences others have had than I was before knowing. I believe the Myrtles is haunted.”
