****Please read. I am a little late so please forgive me if you get to read this! To the team at Residence Inn New Orleans Metairie OMG, you by far exceeded our expectation. We travel roughly 2-3 times a month, 11 months out of the year for leisure, business or youth sports with various of hotel brands. When we booked this room we were using up some accumulated points and wanted an extended stay option for more space & comfort. From check-in to check-out the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and implemented lagniappe in true NOLA fashion. My boys recently mentioned how much they enjoyed the visit and would love to visit again. One also asked if I remembered to complete the survey. Sadly we are so quickly to submit bad reviews or concerns forgetting to send compliments. So to end my rambling I'll go ahead and list each team members name that offered a service to us during our stay. Hope to see you soon. Thank you Thank you Thank you to: J****t C***s G******e Y*****a C******y D******a E****a…
Have stayed here a number of times during the year, the last time, June 2022. Comfortable stay, one exception which will be noted below. They served breakfast every morning. They said during COVID, that the hotel was required for housecleaning service every 3 days. They only served the room one during the stay which was 13 days. Would prefer a safe in the room which was not available in this hotel. There were supposed to be hours to use the pool which were not enforced as there were nights where guests were using the swimming pool and the basketball court in the middle of the night. I was assigned Room 121 for a previous stay last year. AVOID THAT ROOM, a very noisy room. The wall of the bedroom and bed in that room is located against the pool equipment which runs 24 hours and is very loud, reverberating in that room. For that stay, I was told it was an upgraded room and if I had the choice between keeping my reserved room or being upgraded to that room, I would have chosen not to be upgraded. At that time, I had trouble changing rooms. Does the pool equipment have to run 24 hours? This hotel does not have separate receptacles for recycling.…
At only about 8 miles from MSY Airport, this property is situated in a central location next to the I-10 interstate. Looking for a Costco to get gas or stock your kitchen with food, that's a 10 minute drive east from the hotel and the freeway puts you off right at the Costco entrance. Across the street from Costco is Xavier University and one more exit puts you off at the Superdome and Smoothie King Center (if you're into sports). Meanwhile, back near the hotel is Veterans Blvd. Looking for chain restaurants and bookstores like The Cheesecake Factory and Barnes & Noble? Not only can you find familiar places from home, but you can also find hidden gems like Parran's Po-Boys of Metairie. The Gatehouse is welcoming and boasts renovations with expansive seating for breakfast and booths to sit and plan your sightseeing adventure. While it's humid outside, the in room AC unit quickly takes the edge off. The in-room kitchen is supplied with dishes, coffee maker, microwave, full size refrigerator and cookware. I prefer to do dishes by hand but for those that do not, yes, you have a dishwasher. Not sure if all the rooms are the same, but this particular room has a renovated bathroom with no tub / shower and curtain. This means it has a new walk in shower with square footage for 4 people. If you are not a shower curtain type of person, then you'll appreciate the 1/4" thick glass doors on barn door rollers. A stylish wall to wall drain compliments the shower pan. Shower fixtures include a Moen shower valve with a chrome finish and lever handle that makes it easy to adjust the water. This style gives contemporary industrial design a softer point of view. The shower head is three-function full spray; concentrated rinse; and massage which adds variety to this updated shower. Shampoo and conditioner are provided in the 12fl oz bottles by 39 Degrees North. Customer service has been great from the front desk to the Food & Beverage (breakfast) Staff to the Housekeeping. Parking is free and there is plenty of it.…
We stayed for a total of 3 nights at the Residence Inn in Metairie on a recent trip to the New Orleans area. The room was nice and comfortable in our 2 bed 2 bath suite. It met our needs well. The hotel is a bit dated but it was clean inside the room. The parking area was trashed and constantly smelled of smoke. The area felt very unsafe at night. The mall is nearby which was a plus. Overall the hotel did the job despite the rough feel of the area.
Car needed but good, very quiet location. Studio has a couch and small kitchen. Basically clean. Laundry room on each floor. Breakfast was included and adequate. Staff was nice. Good for a short stay. Pool and outside sitting (or eating) area. So much quieter than other hotels in Metairie or New Orleans. And a short drive to the airport. We would stay there again.
A really well-run RI — from the Fitness Room with free weights, towels, machines and a water-dispenser… to the immaculate grounds and tidy hallways… to the Breakfast at 6 a.m. weekdays that is served to you by a charming hostess from whom you also order (hot and cold items, yogurts, 2% little milk cartons, bagels) and self-serve coffee just after 5 a.m. We had the spacious 2-Bedroom (1 King, 1 Queen)/2-Bath (1 tub, 1 shower) with windows that open for a breeze. But be sure to ask which side to roll your luggage carts to, as there are 2 different buildings with elevators — but they don’t connect. Plenty of parking and you are only a short drive to downtown New Orleans. A wonderful stay, thanks again GM Michael for treating us like Marriott Bonvoy VIPs.
The room was dirty and the management was rude and condescending. I liked the floor plan of the room but the staff was not interested in customer service, including changing the sheets and cleaning the room.
Friendly staff. Check in and out was a breeze. Breakfast was hot and cold with great options. Room were large- 2 separate rooms with common area and full kitchen. TV's were large and great when relaxing at night. The drainage for the toilet, shower and sink was very slow. It appeared underneath the toilet seat was never cleaned. Nasty. I exited different exterior doors at different time of the day and night. Only found one that locked. The hotel was packed with AT&T trucks and vans which made it hard to find a parking space. I understand they were there repairing the communication lines after the hurricane. If I were to revisit the area I would stay here again.
I stayed here mainly since I wanted to stay out of the city. It's less than 15 minutes from the city and conveniently located close to the interstate road. It's a bit confusing to find the rooms if you receive mobile keys since you don't know which building has your room. Rooms are nice and clean with all the amenities you need. Bathrooms look a bit dated, but not a big deal. Lady at the breakfast counter was super nice and friendly and she made us feel right at home. At the same time, one of the ladies at the reception wasn't that nice. Overall, we had a nice stay.
This is a very nice place to stay in Metairie. We stayed here 4 nights and it went smoothly. Rooms are roomy and clean, the shower and the bed was nice, staff was friendly and good, and the breakfast that was included was good all around. There was also plenty of free parking. There is a small outdoor pool but we didn’t use it. The location is good, close to all businesses in Metairie and maybe a 15 minute drive to Nee Orleans. The hotel is set back a little so it’s quiet. You can also go behind the hotel for a nice walk or run in a nice residential neighborhood.
