Staff was not friendly. Breakfast was cold biscuits that we had to warm in the microwave. There was no fruit. We were woken up several times during the night by slamming doors. The hallways smelled like pot and it was spreading into our room as we were checking out (thank goodness). The room was a typical average priced hotel room. Was just passing through so we will probably not need to stay there again

Hotel's Favourite
No one number describes the Sleep Inn. If you're in town for a major event (Final Four at the Superdome, in our case) and you want a good location with a clean, quiet hotel room at a reasonable price, you're in the right place - hence the 4. The front desk employees were kind and knowledgeable, and the hotel had the essentials. Just don't put anyone you love on the mattress from the sofa bed. Even placed on the floor, it pressed coils into your back and was rackety. On the other hand, if you're hoping for a hotel with some amenities, you should probably pay the extra money to get them somewhere else. The breakfast is a hot meal only if you put the instant oatmeal or generic sliders into the microwave. No eggs, no fruit, no juice. The business center is a table with a computer by the front door. The furniture is dated, is somewhat flimsy, and occasionally has sharp edges. But: Remember, you've got a fridge and MW, and a full grocery at Target, a mile away. With a little effort, you can have all the elements of a great breakfast in your own room. And the front desk staff are accommodating. If you ask nicely, one of you can work from the breakfast room (or down the road at Cafe Du Monde) while the other works from the room. If you're resourceful and don't need topnotch furnishings, you really can make this work. Just don't plan on sleeping on the sleep sofa.

Horrible horrible experience! We arrived late at night after 11 hours of driving as a walk-in guest. We receive our room, all good and great but the shower won’t work. After 45 min of trying to figure out how to work it, the front desk clerk comes upstairs to try to figure it out but couldn’t crack the cod. I end up taking a shower in my knees splashing water on myself from a little tap. In the morning we go down to let the front desk know we extended in one night but she asked out to leave the room and wait until 3 pm to get a new room. Why? Cause they gave us a suit last night (without us asking or knowing it’s a suit considered) and the horrible front desk girl wants us to leave the room and move to another one, oh but she has none ready so just wait outside. We are trying to solve this issue as we are in town for business, late for our meeting and the girl, who needs to learn how to talk to guests enlightens me with her pearls of service: Is this a joke? Are you 5 years old? Lol you are not getting it! I’m not giving you service anymore goodbye and starts ignoring us. We ask to speak to a manager and she gives us a number. We call that number and SHE picks up the phone in front of us saying “he’s not here good bye” and shuts it in our face. After that’s she calls the police (cause I don’t know she felt threatened but after I tell her I recorded the whole thing she told the officer it was a matter of hotels matters) The officer said “guys we don’t deal with hotels terms” and apologies to me that I’m going through this. The front desk girl bothered officers in duty and bothered us that we have chosen to leave the hotel and cancel our morning meeting since we need to find a new hotel. I would like to have a manager speak to me asap. Thank you.

This hotel was not anything like the pictures. It’s outdated, was not the cleanest, breakfast was a joke. No juice machine, no waffle maker, no coffee as pictured, no fresh fruit, but it did have an outdated microwave with no revolving tray to put your microwaveable biscuit sandwiches (tasted old couldn’t eat) danishes that were stale, milk, chocolate milk and yogurt, Frosted Flakes and fruit loops. Coffee don’t bother in room or breakfast it’s that bad and literally no aroma. So exhausted upon arrival went to sleep and didn’t notice dirt in room until checking out. Couldn’t leave fast enough I will say night staff at check in was very nice and accommodating.

Was clean and quiet, great location, except for the interstate traffic that isn't the hotels fault. Room was a little humid, given the area they need a dehumidifier. Door had some gaps at the bottom, not big but did see light underneath. This hotel is an old one and could use some updates, but have stayed close to a dozen times and will again.

Great location. Old hotel that needed more upgrade. Not worth $200 a night. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very average compared to other hotels of that type snd price. Parking was tight One elevator for entire hotel.

I rarely ever post a negative review but it is definitely warranted here. I booked this hotel back in 2021 with my choice credit cardfor a once in a lifetime trip to the final four. Last week I found out I was coming in a day later but changing the days would have almost doubled the overall rate so I left it as was; telling the hotel I was arriving a day late but still pay for the 1st night. They agreed and indicated they would put a note on the reservation so they didn’t give the room away. Day I arrived I called hotel and said I would arrive a couple hours early so wanted to ensure early check in. Was transferred to manager who said he gave away my room. Turns out since I booked so long ago, credit card was expired. They called me night before but left me no message. They said they did but they absolutely didn’t. Checked my phone, I did find a message the manager sent at 11:21 saying the they would give away room in 30 minutes if I didn’t call back in 30 minutes with my new choice credit card. I was just coming off my flight so I call at 11:36 (35 minutes later) and manager said too late, room cancelled, no other rooms& could provide no other recourse. Said he was not going lose $250 @night since I booked early & got a low rate, so he rebooked at a much higher rate. I am a long time choice rewards member and use choice Visa card. Manager did not care and offered zero assistance to helping to find a room at a choice partner hotel. My once in a lifetime trip to final four was ruined. Customer service at its absolute worse.

The front desk staff was polite and helpful. Room appeared okay when I walked in but then I noticed copious amounts of hair. Hair on the sheets, hair in the shower and even hair all over the back of the toilet. Yuck. Carpet needs to be cleaned and a new housekeeping staff hired ... or get glasses for the one responsible for cleaning my room. As others said, the parking lot was not safe and I ordered food delivery instead of getting out after dark. Don't know what the deal is with all the painters tape dated 10/15/21. I would think that could be removed by now. It seems like management attempted to update the hotels but key areas have fallen short. Certainly not worth $200 a night.

If I could rate this hotel a -100 I would. There are so many things wrong here. The hotel we had for Thursday and Friday night was so bad. $227 for 2 Queen beds and a sofa (PER NIGHT). My brother was staying there too. There were a million things wrong. The lack of safety in the parking lot, the horrible shape the room is in, the high price, No free breakfast. In fact, no breakfast at all. No signs about anything in check in. Blue painters tape on the walls, No lamp by our beds, no overhead lights, broken dresser, big carpet rip in the middle of the floor that someone could trip and fall over, the outlet sparked when we tried to iron, the room was musty or moldy, so bad you had to sleep with something over your mouth, my brother found hair in his bath tub, there was trash and debris on the mattress when we checked for bed bugs, my husband wanted to sleep in our car but that would have been unsafe, the high price, and the staff at the front desk lying about the manager not present when he clearly was. I will be reporting this all to the proper Authorities. It is a major safety and health problem to stay there.

My wife and I stayed at this property for 7 nights: Oct. 14-20, in Room 315. First, let me be clear that the staff were wonderfully courteous and pleasant, and the parking lot was very nice and well lighted. BUT EVERYTHING WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE. - COCKROACHES: The first day of our arrival, one of our party had to stomp on a roach right outside the main entrance. It was the large red "American cockroach" type. Two mornings later, I had to kill one of those same red cockroaches (about 2" long and quite fat and lively) in my bathtub, then clean up all the body fluids, before I could take my morning shower. Needless to say, now that I've just returned home, I need to find a way to fumigate our luggage and belongings before I can take them into the house, for fear of any "stowaways" or egg cases that may be in there. - SMELL: From day 1, the room had a strong, nauseating odor that almost knocks you over when you walk in. Not a tobacco odor, but something more like dingy carpets. I hoped it was something residual that might go away after a day or two, but it just got stronger. Perhaps it has to do with the exhaust fan in the bathroom, which does not function at all. So, every time you take a shower, you're just building up more moisture in the room. - BAIT-AND-SWITCH: According to our reservation (and I have a printed copy...), this room included breakfast. But they had none, nor any reimbursement, nor any voucher for a nearby restaurant, nor any apology. Nothing.
