Everything was great except the staff service. They were unprofessional and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Other than that, it was a very nice hotel experience. The rooms were very clean, and the property seemed very well taken care of.

I'm actually from Lafayette. I sold my house and decided to stay here for one night. I already knew of the place because I not only grew up in the neighborhood, but I now play disc golf on the course adjacent to the hotel. I'm talking walk out the back door of the hotel and walk 100 feet and you're on the disc golf course. Anyhow, check in went smoothly. The place was clean--as expected. The room was nice, the bed was comfy. Plenty of hot water in the shower. I would stay here again!

Stayed at the LQ Oil Center for the 1st time a month ago (July) for my child's orientation at University of Louisiana. We had a favorable stay...newer facilities, EXCELLENT location to access the ULL campus, & good food options nearby. Room was fair...beds comfortable...but up to par for our expectations. We expected a breakfast as advertised, but they only had grab and go breakfast snacks...to our dissapointment, for our kids on the trip. In all, no frills, just simple, newer, great location and what we needed. B/c we had a favorable stay, we returned this past weekend to drop our child off for the beginning of college. We had family that came also that were planning to stay there, but found a lower rate nearby. Upon check in, the AC in the bedroom was been erratic and works at times and didn't work other times. It sounded like a car reving up when the AC was trying to start. The AC wasn't working when came back from dinner, but started to blow very cool in the middle of the night. It was late and we were tired after a long day so we didn't feel like having to ask for a room change that late...fortunately it came on. We figured that was the case Friday too. The air had moments when it worked well during the day, but starting around 8pm it wasn't working, and it never came on the entire night as we slept. This made our overnight sleeping extremely unpleasant, and we didn't sleep well at all...including my children. Overnight we were sleeping in 78 degree temps. I went to inform the front desk gentleman, and he simply took notes. No apology, no means to make sure they would rectify situation and refund a night, nothing but a blank stare. We were checking out that day. We reached out to management, and all we received was a polite "you should have told us, we would've switched your room". The bare minimum for any hotel stay is to provide their guests with a comfortable night sleep. That's all we ask, we are not complex or difficult. There was dirt on the walls, urine and cigarette smells in the elevator, we are not concerned with that, just want to have a comfortable sleep. The AC was on and off both days...we were moving a college student into college and trying to entertain guests. By the end of the night, we're exhausted and aren't trying to switch rooms. IF the AC failed for one night, the least LQ can do, is not charge for that night. But as you can probably guess, they did, and the Manager never responded back. IT'S BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. If they can't comprehend that and take care of paying/returning customers, they don't deserve our money. My family member that stayed down the street had an overnight AC issue his first night. Fortunately he had his room switched...AND THEY REFUNDED HIM. It's easy...take care of your customers. My family member paid half of what we paid, and got a refund. So, please choose wisely when dealing with the leadership here...hopefully you and your children can have a decent night sleep.

Great stay! Clean and comfortable! This is a newer La Quinta that I’ve stayed at multiple times and always happy to return. The location is perfect in the middle of town accessible to many restaurants and attractions. Big rooms, good air conditioning, nice pool and gym area! Great stay!
