My husband and I were greeted upon arrival by the owner. He showed us to our room and gave us directions to a wonderful seafood restaurant. What a nice touch! WE really appreciated the kindness, after a long day of traveling! Our room was WONDERFUL, beautiful period pieces decorated our suite. Comfy bed, very clean room and a wonderful jetted...

A group of us girls wanted to stay at the Michabelle Inn for a night to enjoy a "bachelorette celebration" away with the bride-to-be. We were specifically going to Hammond JUST to stay at this place and planned our entire weekend around being in Hammond. Our reservations were made on October 15, 2014. Yesterday, January 18, 2015, we received a...

Miss Carla, As you were informed when you booked the rooms, we only take 2 guests in each of those rooms. This is not only because of wear and tear but also about consideration of the other guests. When we saw the notes in your reservation that you intended to put 8 people in those rooms we could not accept...

I stayed at the inn and rented the Marie Antoinette room. A large spacious room with king bed, many windows and large screen TV. The furnishings are period and very luxurious. A large well appointed bathroom with Jacuzzi tub plus hand held shower. Coffee station right outside the room, and a covered balcony with ceiling fans, comfy seating for smoking...

I can't comment on the Inn, because we didn't stay; this is a review solely on the food we had at an event. I spoke to dozens of others in attendance, both during and after, and all agreed that the food was just horrible. When we arrived, my husband and I were ravenous and headed straight to the buffet. All...

Miss Susan, I don’t normally respond to internet trolls because it is seldom productive. The fact that you felt obliged to rant about a buffet at a wedding at which you were a guest on a site that that is for accommodation reviews says everything.

This is a difficult rating. We are not big fans of B&Bs so if I rate this as just a "place to stay" in the area, it will not rate too highly (probably a 3). If I rate it as a B&B, it will rate higher (a 4). So I will not penalize it for being what it is but...

We booked all 8 rooms for my daughters wedding on Oct 17, 2014. This allowed the entire family to stay on grounds. David and his staff made the setting up and planning for the wedding on the front lawn so stress free for us going above and beyond with any request we made and offering suggestions for set up as...

A Beautiful inn conveniently located near the town and the interstate. Historic, and charming, with grounds that take you on a trip to yesteryear. New bathroom fixtures, comfortable beds, and a hearty breakfast on period china makes for a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here because we were going to New Orleans for the Krewe of Barkus Mardi Gras Dog Parade and all of the hotels in the city were booked. The hosts were very friendly and helpful in giving us information about getting around. We stayed in the Pompadour room because the cottage (where dogs usually stay) was booked for the...

We have been on the road for three months and were ready for a special treat. The Michabelle Inn was just what we needed. Loved the look and fun details. Service was exceptional and entertaining. We did not have any concerns but truly believed that if we had any, they would have been handled immediately. We felt welcome and right...

We loved the location, and perhaps it was an off weekend because there was a wedding going on, but we weren't terribly impressed. The room was large, but very dated and with fixtures that were loose and about to break. The hot tub was... old, the room was drafty, but I liked that it was uniquely decorated. The bed was...

Kirby, Thank you for the input. There is so much demand for the rooms that it is difficult to improve them. You will be happy to know that several of our suites have received a refresh and we are continuing to improve our property. Thank you again and we hope to see you soon. David
