Overall, this has been a good experience… The rooms are large enough, and well appointed. They are not updated; they are definitely late 90s decor… But this is not a bad thing. The room I stayed in was clean, neat, and in relatively good repair. (There were a few small issues, like a lamp that would not work… But the staff did their best to take care of everything.) Be prepared for some unusual items… The shower head was WAYYYY off the floor and the cabinets have been treated with some “cleaner” that left them feeling sticky. (But a good wipe with a damp rag left them clean again… I’m sure that’s a Covid thing.) My only real complaint about the property is the lack of decent internet access… An arrival, the two upper floors Wi-Fi access points were not functional and none of the wall-jacks worked… (I called in a complaint to their tech-support. The staff had no clue what to do about it.) Even after they were working (two days later), the speeds were ASTOUNDINGLY slow. (Less than 5Mbps. I get 20Mbps on my cell phone) I lay equal blame on the management, the owners, and AT&T for this one… It’s obvious from the condition of the system that the owners are either unwilling to spend the money, or do not fully understand the impact this has on modern business travelers. (or both) I ended up using my hotspot the whole time. Hopefully they will update it the near future. Other than that it’s a decent property. Recommended.

The hotel is very nice and very clean. I booked 1 night and then another when I arrived. Over night my plans changed. I needed to sleep during the day so I could drive to Florida at 8pm. They made me check out of my room and check back in at 3. The room I reserved was a king bed, but they didn’t have that and gave me a double, fine, but the 2nd night is a king. I pretty much live in hotels and I have NEVER been forced to leave my room and check back in. They have ALWAYS allowed me to stay in the first room until the 2nd is ready. If it’s their error shouldn’t they at least make my new room a priority so I don’t have to leave? I don’t even have a vehicle to go anywhere. What happened to customer service and kindness where businesses go out of their way to make customers comfortable? I’m a business owner myself and have never written a review, but this is bad business. Over $400 and I cant even be in my room during the time I need to be to sleep. So… I get to spend even more $$ at Nickys (⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️) drinking at 1 pm waiting for my $400+ room to be ready. It’s a bad deal and they need to lose their attitude and not argue with customers. Find a solution to the problem. Arguing is never a solution in customer service industry!

First of all, I'm 6'4" tall and I always struggle with the height of hotel showerheads. Always. Not here! Seriously, I'm not joking. The showerhead in our room was at least 7 feet high and I could stand under it to my heart's content. I was awesome! My family and I had stayed at another Holiday Inn hotel the day before and this one is leaps and bounds above the first one. I found it to be fairly clean and well kept. Regarding breakfast, I had read a couple reviews that said staff handling the breakfast were not friendly or rude. I COULD NOT DISAGREE MORE! The ladies that were taking care of the breakfast area on May 31, 2021 were extremely friendly and even held over the breakfast until we loaded up the car. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel still advertises free hot buffet breakfast. Not true. After searching the lobby, we found a little stash behind the front desk of canned OJ and nutri grain bars to go. The staff sure doesn’t advertise that it’s available. In fact, the front desk staff was unfriendly from the start. Room smelled like it had been “cleaned” with a sour rag.

Friendly staff at check in. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Free parking. Walking distances to casino and one restaurant that I saw. (Mexican, it was ok) Breakfast was average for HI Express. The breakfast attendant could have been a little more friendly.

I was so disappointed with our room. The smell of dog urine hit us as soon as we opened the door. I understand that this is a pet friendly hotel, but that doesn’t excuse the smell. They need better workers that will mop and vacuum each room with carpet freshener to get rid of that smell. The beds were comfy but I coughed and sneezed all night due to that smell. Unfortunately they didn’t have any other rooms available for me to switch to and handed me a bottle of air freshener when I complained. Also, there was a ROACH in the bathtub. GROSS. There were also grease smudges on the furniture where you could tell a worker half cleaned it. This hotel should invest in better cleaning products, workers, and a waffle maker because the pancakes were terrible. Also, there was a creepy man that works behind the counter staring at my family as if he wanted to kill us when we walked through the doors. My husband spoke to him just to ease the tension. Apparently he doesn’t care for black people. We will not be coming back or recommending this hotel to anyone. There are lots of other hotels in the area so try some of those.

The lady that checked us in was super nice and the guy that checked us out was nice as well. Overall it was a decent stay and I would stay again. The only gripe I had was the towels were wet when I went to use them but I figure they came out of the dryer too soon. They replaced them no problem and also they could have mopped the lobby area. My room was clean though and that's super important to me.

I stay almost exclusively in holiday inn expresses This hotel is a bit date but in good location. Front desk clerk was friendly and assured we had extra coffee. Beds arent the most comfortable and entire complex needs a little clean up. Probably not the best in town but next to all activities

I have stayed here many times because of the location, but I probably won’t stay here again. This place has gone downhill. There are so many issues. It needs a remodel. We didn’t have a knob on the bathroom door, the curtains had something nasty on them. Everything was dusty. The toilet is too low and the seat splits apart too much. The girl working breakfast was slow, inefficient, rude! She couldn’t keep up with the crowded breakfast area. We were sitting in the sitting area and 3 people who checked out had complaints about their room. I probably will stay somewhere else next time and I’m a gold elite member and HIE are going downhill. And the new soap smells horrible!

Stay far, far away from this mess!!! We have stayed in multiple hotels on our long road trip and this is by far the worst. The outlets don't work in most of the room, the sink and toilet seat are loose (baby almost got hurt leaning against the toilet because it's so loose and the bar sink slides around), curtain won't close all the way because it is broken, we have green stains on our towels in the bathroom, they did not have enough bed linens for our pullout bed (only sheets with no pillow case). They actually offered us a mattress pad for our son to cover up with instead of a blanket!!! There is no pillowcase for his pillow either and the pillow has stains all over it. The front desk and housekeeping would not answer phones either after multiple attempts and we had to go downstairs to find out there were no bed linens. Also there were several dark pubic hairs in the bathtub...not clean! I refuse to pay for this and even the guy at the front desk admitted our room rate was "kind of high" for this room. I took a video of everything and will be demanding my money back.
