If you have another hotel option, take it. No restaurants available, the boardwalk is mostly closed for dinner options. And the hotel places all these bogus charges to your account. Staff is also not too pleasant.
Had 2 nights at this hotel in a 2-queen bedroom! The location is perfect! It’s by the river and adjacent to the outlet! The room is spacious, but the beds need upgrading! Beddings and linens were clean and has a min ref and a coffee maker. Parking is free, which is great!
I am a Elite Bonvoy Member of nearly Titanium status. I travel to Shreveport frequently and generally stay at the Marriott Courtyard Boardwalk. Recently I had to cancel a reservation approx 20 hours prior to my stay. I stayed the next night. . I attempted to get a refund for the cancelled reservation and the manager explained he has hundreds of those requests ( and having dealt with him I know why) and he would not issue a refund regardless of status. I will be finding another hotel in Shreveport. I have never had this issue with any other Marriott property.
Had the pleasure of staying here recently and from check in to check out it was the perfect stay! Excellent service! Comfortable beds! They made me feel at home from the moment I walked through the doors!! Will definitely stay again when we return to the area!!
Pros: walking distance to shopping and dinning - although the day we were there it was like a ghost town. We ate at Fudruckers which was dirty and disappointing. Beds were comfortable. Cons: dirty carpet in hall, hairs on bathroom floor when we came in. Red stains on towels. When the AC cycled on it sounded like a diesel truck was idling in the room. Could also hear the AC for rooms next to us. When checking in I was given a 1st floor room. I asked if there was anything higher and the desk attendant was a little rude telling me I had a complementary upgrade to the room I was in. On the first floor? There wasn’t anything upgrade about the room. The hotel was okay for a one night stay but I wasn’t impressed.
very disappointed stain on the fitted sheet baseboards all need cleaning dust behind bedside lampshades (which are frayed and bent) bathroom tub faucets and grout FULL OF MOLD Bistro closed except for breakfast and we weren’t informed of it NOISY
Walls are thin! When a train goes by it sounds like there’s a drum line playing outside your window. The early morning trash trucks emptying the dumpsters were literally a rude awakening. I’m not sure what time the twangy country music stared playing on the boardwalk speakers, but we could clearly hear it from our room. We booked a suite specifically for the sofa bed option so our kiddo could be with us, but somewhat independent. There was no extra bedding for it in the room. When we called the front desk to have it sent up, we were told we’d have to come downstairs to get it ourselves. Not only was the room not prepared, there was no apology or any attempt to make it right from the hotel staff. I’m sure this seems petty, but my company lives and breathes customer service. This would’ve been an easy win for this hotel.…
Great location right on the Boardwalk area. Everything seemed clean and in good repair. My biggest complaint is how thin the walls are. We have stayed in a lot of hotels but I cannot remember hearing everything, and I mean everything, that is happening above and beside us. Worst sleep I have ever had in a hotel.
We were in Shreveport for an over night stay and chose the Courtyard for its easy access to the Texas Street bridge and downtown Shreveport. We were greeted warmly when checking in although as an Elite Gold Marriott member we were neither offered an upgrade or welcome token as we usually receive. The hotel is located on the Louisiana Boardwalk and between two casinos but the room was nice and quiet without any outside noise( this may have been because it overlooked the pool and rear of the cinema nextdoor. The bed was comfortable and the satellite TV channel selections were great. Overall we had a good stay. Bottom line, I would recommend this location for weekday stays, although weekends could be noisy if there are activities along the riverfront. My one complaint is the ongoing lack of coffee in the room and lack of complimentary lobby coffee which was removed when the"Starbux" was put in all Courtyards. A drowsy guest shouldn't have to wait in line for a simple cup of coffee in the morning.…
Great clean property. Kind of funky to find parking. It is next to the parking garage for the shopping center (just keep driving around). Rooms with river view are king bedrooms. Big lobby area with a place to get food and drinks. Restaurants, arcade, movie theater, candy shop, and other stores all walking distance. Plenty of photo opportunities along the river as well. Walkway to Margaritaville is well lit. Gets a little darker going towards the Horseshoe.
