This hotel is conveniently located between the Ark and Creation Museum. It has a very good restaurant next door. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They have a well stocked snack and drink area. Have an indoor pool.
Very lean seems new; excellent beds and rooms clean and fresh . Typical Hampton breakfast .. pre- covid style. Very nice and normal pricing I would definitely stay there again Nice friendly staff. Safety precautions in that you must have a key to go up elevator. They also had extra seating for breakfast area in case you brought in take out food you can eat downstairs and not put in room . Nice pool too
It was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, the back patio is nice. Lots of trees, park like setting, safe to walk, easy assess off highway, location was close to our family event. I highly recommend it and will stay there in the future.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Richwood ( Cincinnati) South) for two nights. The hotel was understaffed but the hotel manager, Doug, accommodated our every need. Our tv had a problem, Doug was there in minutes & fixed it. Doug didn't know I was a travel agent, but obviously in the two days we were there, we knew his name & the many hats he wore. The breakfast was good. The road nearby is under construction, but manageable. Right next door, walking distance, there is really good restaurant, (Longnecks, a sports bar/restaurant) we visited both nights we stayed. The hotel is close to the ARK & the Creation Museum. I highly recommend this hotel.
Good: - Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Plenty of seating too. - Room was a good size and plenty of accommodations. - Staff was very friendly and helpful. Manager gave top notch food recommendations. Improvements: - Barn doors are becoming more and more popular and I hate them personally because the only people that seemed to know how to instal them correctly were the people that put them on barns... The suites were fine because there was a regular door separating the toilet and shower. The standard rooms had about a 1" gap staring right at the shower so privacy was not really possible. The other great thing about barn doors... NO LOCKS! - The pool was the smallest hotel pool I have ever seen and it had to get shut down because it was too dirty. - I booked several rooms for a large group and the 'group rate' was not any better than if I had booked them myself off any of the major travel sites. All of the communication was by email but names were spelled wrong and mixed around and the rooms were wrong. Overall a good hotel and would stay there again.…
I brought a large group of middle schoolers and adults to the hotel after visiting the Ark Encounter. We were treated very well. The pool was great, and even better, the pool area was pretty soundproof. The hotel was new and very clean. Breakfast was great, but most of the positive comments were about the shower. We would definitely go back again.
We stay at Hampton Inn whenever we can so we are already fans, but the Hampton Richwood Cincinnati South is one of the best. We only stayed one night as we were visiting the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. This hotel excelled in friendliness, cleanliness, and efficiency. I believe that the manager sets the tone. In the morning at the complimentary breakfast, they normally have 2 or 3 people assisting customers, refilling the food, and cleaning off tables. But this particular morning, the manager was doing it all! And manning the counter as well. I am assuming this was because they were short-handed (as most places are now). And he did it all with a smile and positive, friendly attitude.
Really nice hotel with very nice staff. The pool area was nice. And they had a really great breakfast with lots of options. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars was because of the bloostain on one of the pillows. Not something you want to see on a pillow in the bed you are sleeping in. Aside from that it was a nice hotel.
We stayed here while visiting the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Newport Aquarium. It was a nice central loacation. The kids enjoyed the pool. We had local pizza delivery, Mcd's and Waffle house down the road and a restaurant located next door. We used the hotel breafast both mornings. They had the best waffle bar I've seen at a hotel with lots of toppings. Also had apples, and peanut butter, yogurt, cereal, eggs and sauage or bacon and sometimes potatoes. We would stay here again.
We stayed one night. The room was quiet and comfortable. The shower had some rust stains on the wall from the grab bar but otherwise the room seemed clean. The breakfast was very good, waffles and bacon made for a tasty breakfast. I would stay again.
