We made the mistake of going when it rained. The pad for the rv was so narrow we had to step out in the mud. A lot of sites don't have grass. There are no hooks in the showers to hang your towel or clothes. It was cold and they didn't have the heat turned on in the showers. Th

Beautiful, clean, reasonable rates and friendly people! What more do you need? Food?? Yes, the restaurant was wonderful as well. I highly recommend the Elk Tour package. Informative tour..if you go in the winter you might see herds instead of twos and three elk.

If you keep in mind this is a state run park and lodge, it will keep it in perspective. The lodge is OK (a bit musty), the staff is very friendly, the scenery is awesome, The food was just OK, and the staff seemed to be a little scarce at times to provide the service our group

Decor was outdated seemed 30 years old...I can live with that. The room smelled very old and musty...I tolerated that. However, Roaches...never again! Choose a different location if you are needing to stay in the area.

A group of 20 friends recently stayed at Jenny Wiley Cabins...We had 5 cabins with 4 in each cabin. Although it rained quit a bit, we were safe and warm in our cabins and able to get out and about. As one cabin cooked for the whole group each night, I would suggest that the cabin

Is the lodge under renovations at this time? Reviews stated the lodge is old and rundown..
The lodge is well cared for and I would gladly stay again. If you want to look for places that show the facility's age you can find them. That is not the appeal of this place. If you want a Xanadu for nature walking this park is it. And you don't have to sleep in a tent. If you like to be out on the trails you will love this park. And you can sleep well among the tall trees in the lodge.

How about bugs??? Many have posted they have bed bugs.
Bugs? Yes, when walking around in the woods there are lots of insects and mosquitoes. We use "Off" so the bugs leave us alone. Bed bugs? No, we have never had any problem with them. Our bedding has always been nice and clean and towels are replaced daily.

We would need accommodations for my husband who is in a wheel chair and with a prosthetic leg and does limited walking with a walker. Would you be able to accommodate us?
We have been to Jenny Wiley a few times, my sister lives about four miles from the Lodge. While we were there, we noticed several ramp areas to some of the rooms and into the Lodge area. They do have an elevator near the lobby for use in going into the basement area for dining. The dining room has huge windows looking out through the trees to the lake. I don't think any of the tables would have a bad view to observe the outside. We are sure that Jenny Wiley could provide a room for someone using a wheelchair and with a prosthesis. To be sure you might look them up on the computer or I'm sure you could call their 800 number to be safe.

We are staying in the lodge this weekend. I am now concerned that we should rethink this. What are your thoughts?
I found nothing wrong staying there. No problems.
