Entering the Brown is like taking a step back in time, with elegant furnishings and perfect, attentive service that is rare. The lobby was fabulous; I couldn't help but imagine its life in the 1920's. Our room was charming. And food was also quite delicious. Of course we had to get the famous "Hot Brown", and we loved every bite!

I am a Louisvillian by birth, although I must admit the city's current reputation and guidance are a bit less than pleasurable, but some things NEVER change. One such establishment has persevered floods, sale of the building, recessions, road changes, etc. and continued to produce the epitome of service regardless of the situation. That establishment is the well known Brown...

The Brown Hotel is a beautiful and amazing place that is full of history and grandeur. You HAVE to order a mint julip from the bar and a Hot Brown from the restaurant. They are both excellent and full of tradition. We absolutely loved our stay!

The hotel is gorgeous on the inside. It is a historic building and the decor supports that vibe. While it is up to date, it is not modern in style. Staff was very professional and friendly. We walked to downtown and although there isn't much on the same block as the hotel, the nightlife on Fourth St. was less than...

I found this hotel based on its TripAdvisor reviews and was not disappointed. The location is perfect for getting to see downtown Louisville and the surroundings, convenient to the airport as well. The service is outstanding, staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are older, but that is part of the charm. The restaurant serves amazing food. I look forward...

We stopped here for a drink and hot meal after a chilly day on the bourbon trail. The lobby bar had a great atmosphere- live piano playing in a beautiful historic site. The lobby bar whisky/bourbon selection was vast and pleased my husband-Lots of rare finds too good to pass up. Also many specialty cocktails too. We tried the famous...

Stopped by for lunch to have an original Hot Brown. Free valet parking and the experience was wonderful! It was not busy and we got right in. There was also a nice lunch buffet that looked delicious. I'll try that another time.

We stayed two nights at The Brown and had a wonderful visit. Our room was very spacious, the staff was helpful, and the food was very good. We also took advantage of a strong bourbon tasting menu and received some excellent suggestions from the Brown's bourbon " sommelier" - not sure what else to call him. We would definitely stay...

This beauty did not disappointment. It is a smallish lobby and they do double duty on a lot of the space. Take the time to look up and all around you to take in the beauty and dream of days gone by. Rooms were typical size of the era. Decor was traditional and suited to a historic hotel. There is...

From the moment you pull up to the entrance until you check out, you feel the attention to detail from all staff. A beautiful historic lobby, outstanding food and service, luxurious rooms, and excellent location make the Brown the place to stay in Louisville. Concierge level has great amenities, breakfast and afternoon cocktails.
