Hotel was hip, loud music, darker reception area, pool table, and definitely geared towards a much younger crowd than we were, but I selected it based on price and location. If you are a walker , as we are, it is right in the middle of many areas a tourist may want to visit. Unfortunately, I didn’t count on the pouring rain….still, the location was still good. There were various restaurants in the same block, and we did eat at Bearnos pizza, which we enjoyed! This was helpful, given the rain. The restaurant in the hotel was closed but they have a little store with some food and a small kitchen for a limited breakfast. Free coffee in the morning. The room was clean and had all we needed. The bathroom has a sliding door, behind the bed area, so not much bathroom privacy if you catch my drift…. Parking was exactly across the street and cost us 28$ a day but allowed in and out access with a QR code they text you. Very convenient and allowed us to run back to the car as often as needed. We walked to 4th st live for dinner, just about 10-15 min away, and an easy walk. However, due to staff shortages everywhere, we had 30-40 min waits even though there were many open tables. Felt bad for the poor staff working, as they have a lot to deal with. We ended up taking our car to a chain restaurant in a more suburban area because it just seemed too busy for the number of staff and we questioned the quality of the food and the temperature, given the prices of meals. Just a result of COVID…no ones fault….Anyway, would recommend this hotel especially to younger people but would stay again because of the parking. One thing to note because our room faced the parking lot, we did hear party crowds at various times both our nights. This isn’t a big issue to us, but could be bothersome to others….Reception staff was not overly helpful when I asked for map and restaurant info but it was ok. They did have free poncho rain coats so that was nice .

Fun and trendy hotel. We had a 2 queen room and thought the layout of the room was great. The bathroom had a lot of counter space and the bathroom area was a nice buffer against any hall noise as the bed area was far away from the door. Our family enjoyed it. The only suggestion might be to add a rubber stopper on the wall so the sliding bathroom door isn't quite so loud when shutting the door. Very minor complaint and overall we'd stay there again with the fun decor, and great, central location. Also they seemed to be "COVID-aware" and had hand sanitizer stations set up numerous places, and employees/travelers were masked up. Good value for the price as well.

My Girlfriend and I spent the weekend in Louisville and chose this amazing hotel right in downtown for an amazing price. Check in was so smooth and Dakota helped answer any question we had. Once we got into our room we were extremely happy with the room and how nice it looked and how clean everything was. The shower was very nice and big. The bed was very comfy and huge. Huge flat screen tv on the wall in the middle of your bed. I really loved that they allowed dogs and on our next stay we will definitely bring our to pups with us. On our last night there we asked the front desk guy of any restaurant recommendations in the area and gave us a few options that was very helpful. They have a parking garage right across the street and we paid $28 a day to come and go ask much as we want by scanning our phone at the parking garage. Literally our only con and recommendation to the hotel is get better toilet paper because it was very thin! So if you are looking for a great hotel right in downtown Louisville I would definitely stay here! It’s gonna be our only hotel we stay at from here on out when we visit!

One of my best stays ever! Leigh Anne and Kenny were fantastic in the Restaurant. Amazing breakfast and the BEST breakfast burrito I have ever had. Thanks Chef Ty!! Leticia was wonderful taking care of my room and the bartenders gave me a great lesson on Bourbon and the great drinks to be made. The Old Fashion was incredible! I love Aloft but the Louisville team took it to the next level!!!

It seems there is always something to give a negative comment or criticism about every time you travel
but that’s not true about this hotel.
This isn’t your normal Marriott. It’s modern, has a lovely & slightly edgy decor, terrific rooms and extremely
helpful & attentive staff.
The rooms have everything you would want from beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds, in-room refrigerators
and safes to large tv’s and plenty of workspace if needed.
There are plenty of areas to sit and relax both in the lobby and outside (where they have tables, comfy chairs and sofas)
in a lovely setting on the corner.
There’s a great gym, laundry, complimentary coffee all morning, a huge grab and go food area and lovely bar.
Parking is across the street and there is a charge but it’s convenient and safe using a scan that the hotel texts you to use going in and going out. If you care to park elsewhere there are several other places
in the area. The hotel does have an area right outside to unload and has these great baggage carts like they use
in airports to transport your things.
The hotel is in a perfect area downtown with bourbon bars, pubs, restaurants and is very close to major highways.
We LOVED this hotel and would gladly look for another of this brand in future travels.

Took a long weekend trip with my sister and really enjoyed staying here. It is in a great location downtown by many restaurants, bars, and right across the street from the Old Forester Distillery. It’s a unique and hip place but good for all travelers. The people who work at the front desk were all super friendly and helpful. Actually, I want to give a big shout out to Cory (I hope I got his name right) who was at the front desk super early on the morning that I was late leaving for the airport and no Ubers or taxis were available. I was a stressed out mess and he very nicely called a private car to pick me up. Crisis averted! We were on the 8th floor and had a great view. The room was quite large and had all the hygiene amenities, except they were out of body wash for our entire stay. The breakfast in the morning is really good, but if you don’t have time to wait there are many grab and go items. The only little disappointment was on the Saturday night that we were there, we came home and wanted to enjoy a drink at the bar and there was a private party with a really LOUD DJ and music. There was no way we could have sat at the bar even if we could stomach the rap music. This property is very pet friendly and there were dogs everywhere. I loved it, but if you have an aversion to dogs, you may want to rethink this hotel.

The design and idea behind the properly is great and can appeal to multiple demographics while keeping in line with the Louisville Downtown vibe. Front desk staff and bartenders have great attitudes and are always ready to help.

The cleanliness of the rooms and hallways on the other hand is atrocious. Dirt on the floor and glasses by the elevator doors on my floor were not cleaned for the 3 nights I was there. The room itself still had the previous guest's hair and spots on mirror and vanity. There were food crumbs on the floor by the beds including pieces of partially eaten candy.

I would spend my money elsewhere.

Aloft accommodations are similar everywhere you stay, so expect the same from the Aloft Louisville Downtown. This location is easy to find and close to many restaurants, etc. The check-in service was mediocre, not a friendly welcome, but I did not experience any rude personnel either. Parking garage is across the street and you have the option to park and stay, or in-and-out privileges for a higher price.

This hotel has a fantastic location. Nearly all downtown attractions are within walking distance. There are numerous great restaurants nearby as well. Attractions out of the downtown area are easily accessible because the freeway entrance is just 6 blocks away.

My room was exceptional. The bed is as comfortable as you will find. The shower is large and so good I didn't want to get out. My room was clean and well-equipped. When COVID isn't an issue the lobby of the hotel is filled with fun stuff to do.

Parking is $28 for unlimited in and out and $20 if you are willing to park for the night. The hotel staff texts you a QR code to scan for entry and exit of the ramp.

Please note...the hotel will also charge a card for $100 deposit/incidentals. This seemed a bit much considering most places do $20-30.

The only aspect of my stay that was poor was staff interactions. The front desk personnel seemed disinterested in doing their jobs...both during check in and check out. They were not busy, they just didn't seem to care.

Are the rooms on the high floors (corner room facing downtown) really noisy?
Answer from MikeW1980
Boston, Massachusetts125 contributions48 helpful votes
I don’t recall the rooms being noisy. I usually have the fan running to have some background noise. You could call and ask the front desk, they are always super friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed at some other places downtown and you definitely can hear noise, but I don’t remember this spot being noisy.

Breakfast is not included. They have a restaurant that MAY be open by then (COVID shutdown)). They have a grab and go type place where you order items and the kitchen prepares them.
