My husband and I stayed at the DuPont Mansion for 3 nights in January. The owners, Herb and Gayle, also own a B&B across the street and we were married there! Our guests stayed in both mansions and we were all spoiled by their lovely staff! The food and surroundings were exceptional. My husband and I will forever treasure memories...

My husband and I spent a cozy winter night and enjoyed the ambiance, service and hospitality. The innkeepers were accommodating, very personable but not invasive. The beautiful mansion was comfortable with all the modern conveniences. I think it would be a great place to stay in warmer seasons to enjoy the walk to Central Park and other nice downtown spots and...

Our stay was exceptional! We stayed for four nights and loved them all. We met Ann and Ken, warm and perfectly marvelous innkeepers, who helped us navigate the city with dining options, activities, and walking tours. Each morning they served a delicious breakfast and were kind enough to ensure ours was salt free. They helped make our stay a true...

Call me old-fashioned, but I was pretty shocked when the innkeeper, who is not the owner, came and sat down with us in the parlor, where we were hoping to relax and have some much-desired alone-time, only to regale us with stories about herself! There was nothing for it; we had to listen, and we then just finally excused ourselves...

We are so sorry to learn of this guest's experience with one of our staff. This guest is reasonable in her expectations. Our training emphasizes that the B&B stay is supposed to be all about the GUEST'S positive experience . Although not an excuse, this incident with a temporary innkeeper occurred after our Innkeeper of 6 years resigned due to...

January 5, 2015 We had the pleasure of staying at the DuPont Mansion B&B for three nights to a attend a wedding. This was our first time there and we were in awe of the architecture, beauty and history of the mansion. The owners Gayle and Herb along with their friendly and gracious staff are to be commended for their...

We decided to stay overnight at the DuPont Mansion the Friday after Thanksgiving. We arrived earlier than expected and were very pleased that we were allowed access to our room. Ken helped us with our luggage and was a very gracious host. The mansion itself is beautiful. It is listed on the Louisville "Holiday Home" tour and was decorated beautifully....

I appreciate the very detailed review which will help future travelers chose lodging wisely. And I'm very glad you had a good stay. Wish we could have earned and other "star". Well, we certainly should have had mugs available on the second floor where the Kurig machine is; and the Innkeeper should instruct you on use of the TV upon...

This B&B is truly lovely. The rooms are immaculate, the Christmas decorations are beautiful, and the breakfast is delicious. I am so glad we decided to book here. We utilized Uber and took a $6 ride to a restaurant last night. This place is truly marvelous. The wine decanters, snack room, coffee, and homemade cookies are extra perks that make...

From start to finish, my two night stay at the Dupont Mansion B&B was a peaceful respite from an otherwise very busy schedule of activities while coordinating a conference in Louisville. As a fellow Kentucky B&B owner, it was a pleasure to be pampered. And although my schedule permitted little time to fully explore the Old Louisville area, I thoroughly...

We love staying in downtown Louisville when visiting relatives in town. Growing up In Louisville and attending U of L this is just the best location in town, convenient to everything especially the great restaurants in downtown. This was our second stay here and even better than the first. The rooms are very comfortable, quiet and equipped nicely. The breakfast...

The DuPont mansion is a beautiful place. We stayed in the DuPont room and were absolutely blown away. Genny was a wonderful host who made us a fantastic breakfast. She wouldn't let us leave until she gave us a hug goodbye. Our only regret is that we could only stay one night.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The DuPont Mansion B&B is an historic treasure with modern amenities. The tall ceilings, ornate fireplaces and carved woodwork look and feel like the circa 1889 Victorian Mansion that it is. Yet the high speed free WiFi throughout the Mansion, flat screen TVs in all guest rooms and Jacuzzi tubs in every bath (two are double) provide luxury beyond anything imagined over a century ago. ... more   less
