A great hotel close to airport. A Saturday night and a lot going on at the hotel! And at night we were thankful the guests were quiet on our floor our room was quiet except you can hear water running between floors. A shout out to Jane at front desk, and Beverly, Robin, and Enestro in dining! A huge thank you to Sederick in maintenance, he’s the night time guy. He was so awesome, professional, knew what he was doing. A huge asset to this company! I thanked him profusely our fridge was hot and leaking and he changed it out no problem! Now to a slight negative with housekeeping. Why aren’t the fridges checked? One Kleenex in Kleenex box wasn’t going to call for a new box at 920 pm. And the previous guests socks were found they may be looking for them we left them there., the restroom by the meeting rooms needed love this morning. A full hotel we understand. I’m sure it’s hard to find housekeepers but it’s such an important piece of the pie. I hope for more attn to detail I. The future in this area. We love Louisville and expect to stay there again

Our room was comfortable. We got a suite with a sitting room.

I liked that the fridge was big enough to hold several water bottles lying flat and secure, and not rolling out of the fridge.

We really enjoyed the restaurant on the first floor of the hotel.

The restaurant service was exceptionally good. The main server was a older African American woman who was gracious, efficient and friendly. Within seconds she acknowledged everyone who walked into the bar/restaurant. We visited on a couple different occasions within several days, and she remembered our ordering preferences. It’s been six weeks since we visited, and by now I have forgotten her name.

Stayed here for a week while in town for NAILE.

The property is what you would expect from Hilton. Our room was quiet and comfortable. We had a King Suite with a separate room and sofa sleeper.

Overall the staff was very friendly. Tamaki was always a bright ray of sunshine in the morning at breakfast. As a diamond hilton honors member breakfast was included with our stay for no additional charge. The buffet was always well stocked. The person behind the counter would make a fresh made breakfast but he was rarely there. He seemed busy doing other things. One would think that having a suite with a sofa sleeper we would have extra bedding for the sofa. That was not the case. They were out of pillows. We only had three towels in our bathroom. Not enough for my wife, daughter and I. I got extra towels and the next day when house keeping cleaned the room they left us only three towels again. We ended up leaving the do not disturb sign up to keep house keeping out so we would have to deal with the bedding any towel issue everyday of amour stay.

Overall a good stay.

I have been coming to this hotel for years, and have written positive reviews of this place in the past, but my trip this week was abominable. Maybe it was the pandemic, but there was one problem after another during my two nights there. Because of virus concerns, I asked for a room that had not been occupied the previous night. However, the desk clerk checked us into a room that had not been cleaned (e.g., the beds had obviously been slept in and were unmade). She apologized and sent us to a different room. Although the new room had made beds, it had not been cleaned very well. When my wife wiped off the light switches and rest room counter, her paper towel was dark with grime. To make matters worse, that evening there was no hot water. When the desk did not answer the phone, I went downstairs and no one was at the desk. Turns out the clerk was outside chatting on her phone. (Later observed that others were frustrated when they could not find anyone at the lobby desk. The restaurant staff was clearly annoyed when they could not find her, either.) Eventually the clerk told me that the plumber was on the way to fix the hot water for the whole hotel. No apology. We had hot water the next morning, but that night it was gone again. Same claim that there was a plumbing problem (the mixer was broken) and it was somehow the fault of the manager for not getting the plumber there. No hot water that night and no hot water the next morning either. I was told it was because the plumber had not come. As we were checking out, the clerk announced to another guest that the hot water would soon be restored. Too late for us. I should also mention that none of the desk clerks wore a mask. When I asked why, one clerk glibly told me that Kentucky did not have as serious a problem as other states, so masks were not needed. Of course, masks were being worn in many other places of business I visited. This hotel is in a great location near the airport and expressway, but next time this Hilton Honors customer will go somewhere else.

Only major complaint was that we were not able to adjust the A/C in any way. There's a note on the unit that it's controlled remotely from another location. We were so damn hot the entire time. Being 90 degrees outside, it would have been nice to walk into a cool room. I like sleeping in cooler temps but we slept on top of the covers it was so warm in there. The other complaint is the new breakfast procedure. I booked a package that included breakfast. Now, I knew going in that it was not going to be the usual hotel breakfast bar (COVID has ruined that) but for the love of God, have a bigger selection. We got a list of egg and griddle choices but could only choose ONE. Tell me how paying an extra $16 was worth either and egg or a pancake and a glass of juice. You had to preorder and then go down and pick it up. I was fine with that. The issue was the poor selection. We chose to just check out and go out to breakfast. I asked the clerk to remove the breakfast off of our package and was told "NO". Said she wasn't allowed to do that. Being that I booked the breakfast package, that means I had to pay for a breakfast we did not want or eat. The clerk was not helpful at all and gave me blank stares like she just couldn't understand why I was a little irritated. This was our first stay at a Hilton and I'm afraid it will be our last. I like to be in control of my own comfort level. I'm paying for the A/C anyway. I should be able to control it for goodness sakes.

This is a quiet, clean, great HGI property. Unfortunately on a recent stay in early July, 2020, our room had no hot water. When I reported it to the front desk, her response was that due to the low occupancy, the hot water wasn’t circulating enough to provide hot water to every room. She did offer to move us, but it was already 9:30 pm and my wife was already in bed. The desk clerk also predicted that it would be corrected by the following morning. Didn’t happen. At least the restaurant was open, albeit with a very limited menu and takeaway service only. Until things return to closer to normal, I suggest you check to see if you have hot water before you unpack and settle in for the evening.

Great staff at this hotel. Kim that works the front desk was a great help when the lock on my door needed maintenance. She offered to give us another room but we had a great view of the classic cars driving into the NSRA show so we waited about 2 minutes & maintenance had it fixed in no time. During the day they offered water, crackers & oatmeal cookies. We had their breakfast every morning & you can order French toast, pancakes, fried eggs & omelettes. The rest of the breakfast was buffet which consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, toast, danish etc. We had supper there 1 night which was also very good. There are restaurants within a 2 minute walking distance. Cracker Barrel, Italian , Mexican, Burger King, Arby’s. There is a Kroger grocery store about 1 mile away. They have a shuttle to the airport & also to the fairgrounds. The beds were very comfortable & even though UPS planes are taking off & landing all day & night, we had ZERO noise in our room. We are waiting for next year reservations for August to open and we will definitely be booking a room & breakfast again.

Overall hotel was old...very outdated rooms, with old style furniture old carpet, definitely not what Hilton claims to be. I will say the breakfast was good even with covid restrictions, good portions at reasonable amount of money. The guy in bar, short with dark hair, can't recall his name was awesome, he was best part of stay. The pool is outside, yet closed when we were there....but website stated it was open with new covid hours...not true, only open on weekend so they say after we booked numerous rooms because of pool and traveling with 8 kids. Not happy guests! Overall less than desirable experience and I am starting to believe Hton is not an upgrade anymore after several bad stays. We stayed at a HHG property and it was wonderful, clean, new updates, and great food and overall service. But I hope Hilton can redeem themselves for us Honor Members!

For the price the quality is not there. Definitely outdated. Paying close to 200 a night Hilton needs to really upkeep the property. The lobby is modernized. The rooms were ok but not at the price point. The bed was hard as a rock and the room reek of a mold smell. The area is close to the airport. However the surrounding area seems unsafe. Probably will not stay again

Needed a hotel for couple days due to a funeral in the city and the Hilton Garden Inn was our home for two days. Staff was very accommodating us allowing an early check in and late check out due to our family circumstances. Breakfast was safe and allowed for social distancing. Easy access off of 65 and nice and big rooms. Thanks HGI!
