The Grady Hotel both honors history and defies convention. Nestled in the heart of the downtown Market District, this historic building was built in 1883 and commissioned by pharmacist J.B. Wilder as a medicinal bourbon apothecary.

The Grady hotel is exceptional! We were greeted by Dylan and Sarah, who were super kind and extremely helpful. From the warm and cordial staff to the very modern interior, the Grady is the best of the best. We really enjoyed having breakfast downstairs in the super calm environment while frank sinatra played. Our waiter (warren??) was amazing. So kind and attentive. Unfortunately, we visited on a Monday while passing through to Nashville so most things in the area were closed, but the location of the hotel was in walking distance to everything. The room was SO comfortable, especially the bed. We cannot wait to visit again, and we will only ever stay here. Cannot say enough good things!

I arrived in Louisville shortly after noon. The room wasn't going to be available until 3 PM. I was exhausted because I arrived at the airport before dawn to catch the first leg of my flight. Regina was empathetic and checked my bag for me. After freshening up in the restroom, Regina had an idea. There were some basement level rooms where I could stay and then get moved to a riverview room the following day. I snapped at the chance and went to the temporary basement quarters. Although small, it was definitely adequate.

The 50 room hotel itself is ideally located in the bourbon district and is easily within walking distance of the convention center. I was now energetic, hungry and invigorated. Regina recommended a restaurant close by (too crowded for me) and told me about 3-4 museums within walking distance. I grabbed a pizza at Luigi's and then went to the Muhammed Ali museum, the Louisville Slugger museum and the Frazier museum. All were great experiences. Later, I had dinner with a friend and got a flight of 4 bourbons (apparently not my drink of choice) and settled in for the night. The hotel was near the performing arts center and there was a Luke Combs concert. There were lots of concert goers but not too close to be too noisy.

The following morning, I ensured that I packed all of my things, dropped of my keys to the room and went off to my meetings. Upon return to the hotel, I was issued keys to my new riverview room and my bag had already been relocated. Very smooth transition. I had dinner at Morton's Steakhouse which was just up the street, took a lovely hot shower and slept well in the comfortable bed. The following morning, I partook of the tasty included continental breakfast and once again went to meetings. Check out time was noon. Prior to leaving for the morning, I requested a late check out and Regina was able to accommodate me. Overall, I had a stellar experience at this wonderful boutique hotel on the bourbon strip and less than 15 minutes from the airport.

Our family of five booked two rooms for a couple of nights. I do not believe they have any connecting rooms, but we were given adjoining rooms on the same floor, which was great. The hotel is brand new as of May 2021. The staff was extremely nice and professional, and very accommodating of our needs, from the valet to the doorman to the front desk staff. Valet parking overnight is $37, which is a little steep, but our car was ready each time we called and asked for it to be ready in about 15 minutes. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were a nice size, with the showers being particularly large. The breakfast, which is included in the price, was served in the basement, and was good, but not great. A nice quality, but not tremendous quantity. The location is great, about two blocks from the Louisville Slugger Museum. We were also able to walk to the minor-league baseball game at slugger Field. The decor was outstanding! Would definitely stay here again!

The stay was ruined by a ridiculously high pet fee put in place to discourage pet owners from coming. It worked, we won't be back. No pet beds, treats, or souvenir dog dishes at this place for the $150.

Restaurant was a hors d'oeuvre bar. Lobby was designed to allow better interaction with the desk clerk as they eat their lunch and stand around looking lost.

Located in the downtown museum district of Louisville my family and I thoroughly enjoyed calling this boutique-style hotel home for 5 days! Absolutely beautiful accommodations with attention to detail. The most amazing aspect was the warm hospitality shared by the staff who consistently checked to make sure you were enjoying your stay! Dining at the Wild Swan was delicious for breakfast (included and not just your basic continental), late-afternoon complimentary cocktails in the lobby, through lite-bites in the evening. I can’t emphasize enough the friendliness of the staff and how we felt right at home. Thank you Grady Hotel for being an amazing place to enjoy for our second trip to Kentucky!

I can't say enough about this hotel. We just came back from staying there last week and everyone was so personable and great. The hotel is beautiful from when you walk into to the door all the way into the rooms. You even get a personal welcome note with delicious chocolates. We even spent time in the Swan room hanging out with staff the last couple days. It's also in a great location where you can walk to most of the distilleries. We will be staying here when we come back!

Not a great stay at all.
Regina is wonderful… she was the only pro.
Our room wasn’t ready at check in. We had to wait 30 mins.
Bar and restaurant was closed during our stay!
You can hear EVERYTHING in the hallway and nearby rooms. Sleep was terrible.
No coffee maker in room!
I called the front desk and asked if I could get a soda somewhere in the hotel. She just said ‘no’. No other option…. Just ‘no’.
We valet our vehicle and not only was the driver seat adjusted but so was the passenger seat. I have no clue why someone would be in the passenger seat. I’m not happy at all about that.
Breakfast is as greasy. …
Definitely not worth the $300/ night.

Best thing about it is location right next to Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts on Whiskey Row. Next best, the staff are lovely young people eager to please. New hotel created out of an old warehouse. Sylish decor combines a vintage vibe with industrial chic. Rather elegant in the public spaces, but in the rooms the fashionable dark grays need more lighting to make it feel warm and cozy. Speaking of warmth, the thermostat limits how much a guest can adjust the temperature so I had to have two more blankets, but they were brought immediately. Beds very comfy. Armchair looked comfy but was hard and had no light or side table. Huge shower but no hand sprayer. The rooms do not have coffee makers or kettles, which is very strange for a newly renovated hotel. No room service. These are the kind of misses that detract from what one expects from the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group. The hotel restaurant Wild Swan has a small menu but good food, and there are other choices in easy walking distance. Nice daytime bakery cafe next door. Several public parking garages very close, or you can valet park for $40. This is a good hotel that will become better and ideal if you are attending an event at Kentucky Center.

We had a group of 4 adults coming to Louisville to taste bourbons and enjoy a weekend away. We searched many hotels in the area but nothing looked as cute as The Grady...and we were not disappointed. Regina welcomed us at the front door and was there around the clock to make sure we had everything we needed. She was one of our favorite things about this hotel. The hotel itself is absolutely adorable and has SO much character. We ended up spending the end of each night sipping cocktails on the comfortable couches that were all around. Jordan was the brightest light of the morning serving breakfast and Brian (at concierge) also made sure that we were never without anything. And Ethan always had a smile when we needed to get our car out of valet. We gave this boutique hotel a 100% thumbs up and would recommend it for anyone looking for a less commercial, more chic experience in Louisville. You will not be disappointed.

The hotel rooms were clean, quiet and the bedding was very comfortable. We were disappointed in the concierge services that we attempted to use prior to our arrival. The breakfast offering which was included was very limited, but the gentleman providing service was amazing. Based on the premium rates, we were disappointed in the level of service and the amenities.
