A very very nice hotel. The facility itself is quite impressive. Staff were very attentive and we felt very well taken care of. The room was quite nice with a really great shower. Very good water pressure. The bars and restaurants were extremely nice with good service and impressive food. The two bars both closed at 10:00 pm, which was a little disappointing. But we did stay on a Monday and Tuesday night, so I give them a pass on this. I would highly recommend this hotel.

In the past, I have had problems with pretentious, snooty employees, dirty rooms and slow valet service. Not this stay. Every member of the staff that I encountered was very professional yet friendly. Our standard room did not offer much of a view other than the hospitals and I-65 traffic but it was clean and comfortable and the bathroom shower fixtures seemed to work more easily than previous times – the handle that controls the shower water temperature is tricky. But water still leaks onto the bathroom floor through the shower door – this needs a better gasket. One of the valet guys we spoke to was at this hotel temporarily while the Galt House is being renovated. Perhaps that is why the valet staff appears more mature and provides better service than in the past? We stopped into Bob’s Steak and Chop House for a drink after going to dinner elsewhere in the city. This is a nice bar where there are always interesting folks to talk to. And the bartenders are really knowledgeable about the city of Louisville, its food and spirits.

This hotel was very nice. The interior and exterior was beautiful. I loved the roof top pool and hot tub. The room seemed very clean and sanitary. I did have one extremely huge negative. The hotel offered pretty much no food options. We stayed on a Sunday evening. When we got there at 4pm all their on site restaurants was closed. They only had a pool side bar open. We chose this hotel because of its on site eating amenities and they weren't even open. Then for breakfast the next day they offer ZERO hot breakfast items. all they had was cereal which costed almost $7 with the tiny carton of milk. We asked about the on site eating when we arrived and they said they are only open a few days a week. I don't understand how a hotel would not serve daily breakfast no matter what day of the week it is. I will not stay here again. I would rather stay in a budget inn hotel with a nice hot breakfast then pay for this hotel to receive no hot meals whatsoever.

We were celebrating a night away from our kids and wanted a very special weekend, so we booked a Premier Executive King room at the Omni. We opted for the early check in for an additional fee (website stated guaranteed check in at 12 pm instead of 3 pm). We also opted for the “Love and Luxury” package which included chocolate and champagne for an additional fee.

When we arrived at 11:55 and attempted to check in, we were told that they were fully booked the previous evening and wouldn’t have a room available until 3 pm. My husband and I decided to have the front desk hold our bags while we got lunch and toured the city. They removed the additional fee for early check in.

When we checked back in at 2:30, the front desk stated they would send our bags up to the room and that the champagne and chocolates would be delivered shortly after 3 pm. We waited for our bags in the room for over an hour. I called to double check on the status, and we were told they would be “right up.” After another 45 minutes, I personally went down to check on our bags. The front desk assistant asked if I had called to double check on the status, and when I told her I had checked 45 minutes prior, she said “okay,” and got our bags without an apology or offer to have someone bring them at that time. I carried the bags to the room myself.

We then went to dinner and drinks off property and when we returned, the chocolate and champagne were still not delivered. At 8 pm, I went to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager about our experience. A VERY attentive front desk assistant (Victoria) saved the day. She apologized profusely and gave us a small credit (compared to what we owed) toward the room and food/drink credit. She delivered the chocolate and champagne to the room PERSONALLY, and we were very thankful for her help.

Our weekend was VERY important to us and at the time of booking, I called to verify our experience would be top notch. The phone advisor from the hotel told me that as long as I indicated our wishes when booking online, that our requests would be taken into consideration. I indicated that it was a special weekend away from kids, that we would like “the highest floor with the best view possible,” and that we were first time visitors. Our room was on the 6th floor out of 14 floors (guest rooms started on level 4), and our view was less than spectacular for the amount of money that was paid for the room.

As wonderful and attentive as Victoria was, we would not stay or recommend anyone to stay at the Omni for a special event.

A solid premium business hotel, but lots of details making it a bit lacking in the end. The lobby and public areas are all gorgeous, and the location is great if you need to be downtown and/or near the convention center. Check-in was slow and they bungled my colleague's reservations. The room itself is nicely appointed and comfortable. The TV is off center from the bed(s) in a way that would make it uncomfortable and/or impossible to really watch it from bed, which is a strange choice. But parts of my room were filthy (especially the shower floor), the mini-fridge didn't work (which they fixed) and the sink was clogged. I appreciate they have housekeeping come every day, but they never emptied my trash cans and it was overflowing by my 4th day.

However, the dining was atrocious. The Neighborhood Services restaurant had abysmal service. We actually gave up on eating there twice after being ignored for 15+ minutes. Had a drink at the bar one night, but it took five separate requests over 30 minutes to get the bill. They weren't busy by any means on any of the visits either. The marketplace is nice, but clearly struggling as half of it is closed. The pizza place was very good.

So if you're expensing it or have a conference in the hotel it's a good choice. But otherwise not really worth the premium.

Despite a beautiful interior with equestrian and “bourbon-influenced” artwork, I was disappointed with an Omni not providing a polished enough experience. Essential things need improvement—cleanliness of rooms, minimal food options, no housekeeping due to “the current situation “(which was a text received from hotel prior to arriving), and so on. One really bad idea is that anyone off the street can buy a day pass to enjoy the pool. What hotel does this? So, basically the paying guests can’t enjoy it because there’s a bunch of rif raf acting like they own the pool. And lastly, there are extremely few people around who actually work at the hotel. Would recommend 21c hotel instead. . .

I stayed at the Omni for one night this week. It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. However, for business travelers, it's really not a good choice. Here's why: No onsite self-parking. Valet only for $37/night. This is pretty steep, even for valet. If you want to self park, you have to find a nearby garage and walk to the hotel. Not pleasant in downtown Louisville due to the large number of homeless and panhandlers. Also, no free wifi. $9.99/night at only 7mps. I haven't stayed in a hotel in a long time that didn't offer free wifi. Pay for use Wifi is so 15 years ago. There are no plugs near the bed for recharging. The only plugs are across the room from the bed. Limited towels. One set. Even a Ramada gives you at least two sets. No food choices in the middle of the week. There was a restaurant in house that would deliver to your room, but they don't serve after 9PM and the choices were very limited (4 entrees I think). Prepackaged breakfast only and not until after 7AM. I get started early and I am used to being able to hit the restaurant or breakfast bar around 6:30. Poor water pressure in the room. The water from the sink was just above a trickle. (I was on the 12th floor so I'm not sure if that was the reason. Even so, it was not acceptable). Valet took a ridiculous amount of time to get car even though I called them 20 minutes before check out. At check out, I asked the front desk to break at $20 so I could tip the valet $5. They said they didn't have cash. Really? For an upper end hotel? So I asked the valet if he could break a twenty. He did, but was clearly disappointed when I gave him back $5. I thought this was fair for 5 minutes worth of work. There was no offer by door staff to help with luggage. I thought this was what they were there for. TLDR: Nice hotel, but not for your typical business travel.

I hosted a work event at the Omni over the past week. Overall, the property is beautiful. This includes a stunning lobby, fantastic pool, nice gym space, and guest rooms that are both large and comfortable. In most respects, we were very comfortable for the duration of the stay.

We were disappointed that the events staff put us in a space that was clearly too small for our group. We caught the issue prior to arrival and tried to work out a solution, but the staff said they could not make any changes because they were “fully booked.” Walking the space during the week made this difficult to believe.

We experienced two other minor annoyances during our stay. First, the valet is extremely disorganized. One morning, I texted for my car (as requested on the claim ticket) and went downstairs. Thirty minutes later and the car still had not arrived. When I asked about it, it was clear that they had missed the request entirely. The experience was similar the next day, and I learned to always follow up on the text. Second, the wifi in the guest rooms is unnecessarily convoluted. I couldn’t connect my laptop when I arrived late on Sunday. The front desk did not answer after three tries, and I finally resorted to using my phone as a hot spot. That’s a little sad in a hotel at this level.

Were there a few issues with the stay? Yes. Would it keep us from got back? No.

Mixed Feelings...This hotel had a lot of amenities but you defiantly pay the price if you want something. Coming from Connecticut (one of the top ten highest states to live in – you know what is a reasonable price & these were not reasonable prices). I agree with another reviewer – “The experience does not justify the cost.” For your odds and ends and even liquor go to a nearby bar or corner store/pharmacy. Side note – There is no free WiFi – even if you create an account with Omni your service is spotty. The room phone also did not work to call the front desk.
I also had some other housekeeping issues but the team took my concerns/issues into consideration and rectified the situations. Thank you, Claire your employer should be very pleased to have you as part of the team. You provided great customer service - Keep up the good work!!
Spent some time in the “Library” quaint atmosphere & very relaxing.
Overall, the ambiance is nice and the staff was great, friendly, and personable. The location was good and close to decent places to eat. I am not sure it is worth staying here again a lot of hype since it is pretty/flashy inside but when you take a deeper dive the Pandora box opens. I would really need to think about it…

I really enjoyed the decor and location of the Omni. But I was really underwhelmed by the front desk staff at check in: perfunctory and no information or welcome. This was compounded by being unable to get either front desk or room service to answer my call on two nights running.

Hotel is okay as a business hotel but don’t expect anything special.

Is there a coffee maker in the room? What type? Keurig?
Answer from Todd P
A Keurig-style coffee maker is in every room. The Keurig pods will work

The pool officially opens on or around Memorial Day and officially closes around Labor Day, but it has stayed open for a few weeks in September, if the weather holds.
Answer from Todd P
Weather permitting, the hot tub will stay open throughout the year as it is heated. Our poolside bar closes on Labor Day but guests may still access the area.

Is there a parking fee
Answer from Todd P
Unfortunately, parking is not free, Anyone can use the hotel's valet to park their car in the covered garage at the hotel or there is a Stark's public parking garage behind the hotel on 3rd St at lower, overnight prices.
