This is a gorgeous mansion that is more like a Victorian museum than a typical B&B. The owner, Rudy, and Jason are great hosts and let you roam around the 20,000 square foot mansion but are there whenever you need something. The mansion is full of antiques and lovingly cared for and clean. The towels and sheets were great and... More

Friend and I were making a trip to Louisville to run in the Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon. Most places were pretty booked. We decided to try a bed & breakfast (my first time staying at one) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in the General Lawton Suite and enjoyed spacious room & central location. Everything seemed a few minutes drive... More

The mansion is unbelievably gorgeous, filled with antiques and beauty that recalls the glamour and style of the glory days of the South. All rooms were immaculate with all of the creature comforts one expects in superior establishments. Breakfast is served in the glorious Dining Room, complete with antique mahogany table under an exquisite chandelier. The Ladies' Drawing Room, Music... More

We didn't know what we were getting into because it was the first time to stay at a B&B. Well let me tell you, it was great. Every where we looked there was beauty from a time gone by. It's good to know someone is hanging on to things of yesterday. You would have thought we were "big shots" with... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Culbertson Mansion in Louisville, Ky a few times. Each time we go, we always wonder why we don't bring some of our friends along. We feel it is important to take time to enjoy a slower paced and relaxed time away from our hectic schedules whenever we are able. So...on our April trip... More

The reviews have generally been very good for this B&B, but we were not impressed. Others have commented how good the breakfasts were. They must not stay at many B&Bs because the breakfasts were very ordinary. The owner, a very nice gentleman, who runs the house, bought it in 1976, extensively renovated it, but now it feels tired and in... More

EVERYTHING in this place looks like it should be in a museum. It's absolutely stunning. "Opulent" was the word that kept coming to mind when we wandered around. The owner is a delightful man with great stories about the house. I could have listened all day if I didn't have other plans. The young man who helped out with the... More

The owner and staff were fabulous. Very clean beautiful home filled with antiques and Derby memorabilia. Formal dining breakfast with dishes served up Kentucky bourbon style! Yummy fruit dip and whipped topping. This B&B is full of grace and charm. Will visit again!

I go to Louisville on a regular basis for work, and this is my inn of choice. The grandiosity of the place is amazing in its own right, but the staff are all great too. Rudy, the owner, is a wealth of knowledge and Jason, the assistant, was a pleasure to talk to. He gave us a great recommendation for... More

This Victorian Bed And Breakfast is just amazing! From the huge home (20,000 square feet!) to the contents are just unbelieveable! Rudy, the innkeeper and owner, is a wonderful man who gives you free rein of the home to explore at your delight! The breakfast is scrumptious and he is a trup joy to visit with! Rooms are amazing and... More
