The lobby is very nice. Check in was fast and easy. Staff was very pleasant. Room was on the third floor. Based on other reviews the room did not meet my expectations. There were small amounts of mold in the shower, the light fixtures in the bathroom were rusty, the sink faucet was loose. The bed linens seemed as though they had been washed hundreds of times, they were pilled and stained. The furniture was well used.
The hotel is located next to the Paddock Shops of Louisville, just off the highway. It is walking distance to stores and fine restaurants. When we checked in, the Front Desk Staff was so friendly and accommodating. We requested a room change due to our Service Animals as we were too close to the pool and fitness center. They moved us upstairs and close to the elevator. The room was clean and had sanitation stickers on the door, bathroom and TV remote. We felt very secure with the extra precautions they took. The room had a coffee maker which most hotels had removed. We stayed several days in the area again as it is only about an hour to Keeneland. The location is perfect. The only drawback might be the design of the parking lot as there are only a few parking spots in front but more spots are in back and on the side of the hotel. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and it is nice walking into a hotel and being greeted with smiling faces. It is also nice being within walking distance of restaurants like Martinis Italian Bistro, Mitchell Fish Market, Drakes, Starbucks and others. Across the street is Outback and across the highway is Olive Garden, Red Robin, Lonestar and more...…
It was a good location for our purpose. It had easy access to the freeway, thus, an easy get--away. The king bed was great and it had selection of pillows. We appreciated complementary cold water bottles. I only wish the front desk had a city map.
For the price, the quality was like staying in a room which had never been slept in before. I was amazed by the cleanliness of the room AND the staff was clearly in tune with what they do. In my personal opinion this was the most pleasant experience I've had in years with any of the large chains. Great work Hilton!
This was the worst stay! Our room was 422...right next to the elevator. All we heard was banging and clanging the entire night. As soon as we fell asleep, we would be awakened again with the sound of the lift going up and down. Finally, we decided to throw in the towel at 6AM hoping a shower would wake us up. There was horrible water pressure. The water was a light spray. When we talked to the front desk clerk at checkout, he really has nothing to say in response. We asked him why they even book this room and that this couldn't have been the first time someone complained about the elevator noise. If you get this room, ask for a different one. I guess it's all about the money... not the guests!
Upon entry the room smelled awful and hadn’t been cleaned. I had to go and buy spray for the smell… I alerted the front desk said someone was going to clean… and try to freshen the room. I left for 3 hours and mind you I just came to stay the night to get a break from having to clean behind two adults staying in my house I was already exhausted and frustrated… I came back nothing had been done. Couldn’t take a bath in the jacuzzi tub or shower due to someone’s pubic hair everywhere in both. I attempted to clean the tub myself with what I had- isopropyl alcohol and lots of towels I had to go get from the desk so I could.. tan out of isopropyl alcohol.. slipped and messed my leg up while trying to clean the tub… then tried to wash the hair out of the shower but it didn’t work. I paid cash for the room and put incidentals on my card. So after being told at checkout someone would contact me and make things right… mind you I didn’t sleep cause well the room hadn’t been cleaned so I was super uncomfortable sleeping in the bed and getting clean in a dirty pubic hair walls and floor in the shower… well it’s been a week and no one has emailed or called me so I called and same lady stated my number wasn’t on the receipt- but it’s on my account but it’s whatever. I’m aware I got played out of $250 and I had to clean my own room and still… no matter how messed up and wrong it is no one care or will fix this issue. I will not spend another red penny at a Hilton. Bad taste in mouth is an understatement. Considering we’re still in a pandemic the rooms should be getting cleaned. Actually cleaned. First job when I got to Louisville at 19 was as a housekeeper. So there isn’t anything I don’t about what goes on. I’m not just saddened by this I’m a bit outraged. Now I regret not paying on my card. But I was just trying to get checked in eat have a lovely bath and actually sleep. I should be getting paid for my hard work honestly… a week is plenty of time to get in touch, even by email. I used my HH’s so I’m aware the hotel has my information. Maybe not on the receipt I guess but… yeah. I want my money back in full now. This was and is beyond ridiculous. Didn’t want to post this as a review but… no one cared to contact me or remedy the situation. Still not sure how my “phone number” was just missing. I look at my Hilton account and it’s there just like my email… my points for me paying to clean the room have registered to my account so clearly… they have the correct info!…
Standard layout and rooms for a Hilton Garden Inn. Everything was clean and working. The staff here is outstanding!! Super nice and accommodating! Location is right off the highway, but far enough away that it is very quiet. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.
We stayed a night here on our way through. The staff here is amazing (we've stayed in a lot of hotels). From the front desk, the bartender, the kitchen staff. So friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean! Highly recommend.
For the first time in a long time, our regional teams got together for Quarterly Business Reviews and we stayed at the HGI Northeast. The stay was excellent! Everything was above our expectations, from our rooms to the meeting space to the in-house catered meals. I spoke with the GM Lana Ulmer and let her know that everyone enjoyed their time there and what an excellent job she and her team had done. She was incredibly kind and thanked us for coming. We will definitely be returning to this location!
If you fly into Cincinnati this is a great location for your Kentucky stay. Easy access to Downtown Louisville, Churchill Downs and Lexington with a rental car. The staff and manager were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room had everything I needed and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.
