The staff are very pleasant, otherwise this was not exceptional. I would go out of my way to stay again if I was getting a fantastic rate like I did this time.

We stayed for a few days. The bed and pillows are ok. There is no safe in the room. There are no extra pillows or blankets in the closet. And for a room with two queen beds to only have one chair is weak. The room in general is ok.

The buffet/continental breakfast is ok. Two hot stations one with scrambled pasteurized eggs and the other with the other hot item/s du jour, along with typical continental breakfast fare. Overall the breakfast selections are held to the minimum, for example if you’re looking for a banana you’re out of luck because the only fresh fruit offering is apples. Another reviewer mentioned that the breakfast is served with disposable plates and cutlery and that should be a tip off that this is just an ok breakfast. It’s edible food and it’s included with your stay. If you’re expecting a fresh waffle like LaQuinta, or a made to order omelet like Embassy Suites, you will be disappointed so manage expectations accordingly.

This place is ok, and the staff are very pleasant. If you book at the right price like I did then you will be happy.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. Overall we are pleased. The location is great if you plan to do downtown activities. We walked to restaurants, slugger museum, and a bats game. There are many homeless persons downtown so if you are walking be prepared for that. Our room was clean and supplied appropriately. The king suite set up only allows entrance to the bed from one side due to AC unit which was odd. Staff was very attentive and polite, love the app messaging feature to request towels, etc. Our only complaint is the free breakfast and parking. Breakfast was terrible. There’s just no sugar coating that. $19 a day to park seems insane. The parking garage is nice and convenient but the price ruined it.

My niece and I stayed a night here and it was a very nice stay. The employees were extremely nice and incredibly helpful. The free breakfast was amazing thanks to Chania who was in the kitchen and Daridys who was tending to us in the dining area. They really made us feel welcome and Daridys was a huge help to us.

We were a group of four with two rooms and spent two nights. I had used the app to check in which, I believe, is supposed to alert you when your keys are ready. Never received an alert so when we checked in in-person, we had to wait quite a while. There was one employee at the desk helping someone else. By the time it was our turn, there was a small crowd behind us. Eventually, another employee showed up and she had to go get our keys from somewhere else. The picture shown here on Trip Advisor must be a different entrance not currently being used because we were all crammed in a much smaller entrance. The employees themselves were kind and courteous and really the only reason this review is getting 3 stars and not 2. One of our party tried showering shortly after we arrived and could only get cold water. When he alerted the front desk, all they did was to remove the parking fee. We, of course, brought it up again at check out and they did comp us one night for each room. They said there was an issue with some of the rooms as the only explanation. Cold showers for 2 days! Also, the bed was comfortable, but the blanket was thin and they gave us 3 pillows instead of four. We tried calling the front desk, but it just rang and rang. I decided to try the app again. About 20 minutes later, there was a knock at the door and a blanket and another pillow were delivered!

The checkin was just a bit confusing since I was staying at the Fairfield. The signs pointed you to the Springhill reception and there I was greeted with professionalism and courtesy. Everything was explained to me and it was clear. I proceeded to park my car ($19 a night fee) and then go to my room. The room was clean and everything was in order. The staff at Springhill were always helpful in everything I asked about; Food, entertainment, complimentary water, etc...
I actually had some issues with my car battery and needed to charge it. Derek Woodmore was SO kind and helpful in assisting me in getting an outlet to plug in my charger for the car battery (let me use the lobby outlet). He was a life saver. Then the day of checkout, I was again having issues and the manager, Jacob, was assisting me again and even offered to jump my car with his truck. Everyone there were so ACCOMMODATING!
I would certainly go back again. The breakfasts were complimentary and there was enough variety to get my day started.

I had a good stay at this hotel. Particularly liked the breakfast team of Liberty, Reyna and Wilso. Team was attentive to guests’ needs; Liberty especially was helpful and courteous. Hotel is accessible to the hospital where I had my workshop; room was clean and comfy.

Friendly and welcoming front desk staff. Computer wasn’t working so it took us a while to check in but she comped us parking to apologise. Room is spacious and clean. Bathroom is a bit small and worn down but functional. We didn’t have enough towels and housekeeping brought them to our room immediately. Great location for whiskey row and other Louisville attractions. Breakfast was also well stocked at all times and the area was kept spotless. Would recommend

We stayed one night, booked on the fly through Expedia, on a road trip. The desk clerk was friendly and gracious. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was well put together with plenty of seating. Two things were unpleasant surprises: There is a $19 parking fee which is not disclosed when booking, and there was an extra $90 charge (a hold?) which appeared on our credit card around 1 AM that morning, while we were asleep. It was noted on an email that we get whenever our credit card gets charged and it gave us a few days of vexation before we figured out it was no longer on our statement.

This hotel was NOT prepared to be filled, although most reservations were made in the fall for a local massive basketball tourney.

Front desk staff was hit or miss. Some were ok, others were rude. We had called a few days before to inquire about getting a rollaway cot in our room. We were told they made a note and that the cot would be in the room when we arrived. It was not. We had to ask for it three times before someone finally told us they were out of cots, and that we had to say we wanted a cot when we made the reservation in October. (Even though they did NOT say that a few days prior, or even a few hours prior.) So I spent two nights on the floor before a cot became available.

Parking is a nightmare. You pay for parking, but you aren’t even guaranteed a spot in the garage. They oversell it, and the garage fills up. Some people who got back from the tournament each night had to park down the street, and it is not in an area of town you want to be walking late at night.

Housekeeping was incredibly friendly, but it was definitely a battle to communicate with some of them. At least they were nice.

Television was blurry with very few channels.

There is a speaker in every room. It made a loud crackling sound a few times, which was really annoying. Eventually they made an announcement about towing cars to the ENTIRE hotel via the speaker in the rooms. It was difficult to understand. But five minutes later, they made the announcement again, it was easier to hear. Still, I’m 43 and well-traveled, and I’ve never heard a hotel-wide announcement like that before.

Find a better place to stay. Flooring is nasty and stained. Front desk staff doesn’t tell the truth and isn’t helpful.

One plus- the breakfast is delicious and has good options!

We stayed there for the Kentucky Derby. Hotel was very full. Easy self parking on site. Staff very friendly and made a real effort with the Derby and free drinks the night before. Breakfast served in polystyrene bowls with plastic cutlery. Rooms really tired - don’t think they have been updated since the 60s😂. The plug points are awful and we were scared to leave things plugged in when we weren’t there as the plugs heated up. Bathroom tiny and bath / shower old and stained. Needs a good upgrade. But easy walk into main part of Louisville and felt very safe walking around. Lovely city

Do you have any type of shuttle to the KFC Yum Center? If not, how many blocks away is it to walk?
Answer from Katie N
Good Afternoon, I am happy to report that we do in fact have a complimentary shuttle that will drive anywhere within 2 miles of our location. We are within walking distance to many attractions downtown, and our shuttle is on stand by for anyone who may need. We look forward to your stay :) Safe travels!

There is actually a parking garage beside the hotel, in the same parking lot actually, for overflow parking. We had to drive through it to leave the hotel. You have to pay the same for parking at the hotel whether you find a spot in the lot or in the garage, and I believe it's $15 a night.
