The Shaker village was recommended to us by friends. The room accommodations were simple but very comfortable, and the bathroom new and very clean..the heating system, not so much. Be aware, that there are no elevators if you pick an upper floor room. The restaurant was in the same building as the check-in (make sure you have a regular credit...

If you haven't been to Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill lately to eat at the Trustees House, make a point to go back. This awesome, contemplative place always is wonderful, now the food is too. One of the best Thanksgiving meals and experiences I have ever had. It put Colonial Williamsburg to shame. Are we going back? We were there...

If you love history and a beautiful setting, you will enjoy this place. It is very picturesque and a wonderful place to take photos. It is especially beautiful in the fall. The history of the Shakers is very intetesting. You can easily spend half a day here if not more. Restaurant is great. Lovely way to spend a day!

We stayed at Pleasant Hill and really enjoyed ourselves. The room was uniquely decorated in the Shaker style but with all the modern conveniences (minus wifi) and very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The Halloween party was great fun for my kid. The fire pits, live music and food was great along with the crafts they had available. The candy was very skimpy but my kid doesn't care for candy anyway. Excellent experience. I

Shaker Village is a real treasure, located about 20 minutes outside Lexington. Besides a hotel; historic buildings and tours; craft shops with unique, hand-made items; artisan workshops; and hiking trails is a top notch restaurant. This is not a big place so reservations are encouraged. The food is pricey--we spent $84 on lunch that included two drinks, an appetizer, and...

We stayed in the main hotel area --Trustees Bldg. The room was beautiful, peaceful and just what we wanted for a weekend away. It was also nice to have the restaurant downstairs. The food was also excellent, especially the buffet breakfast the next morning.

Our family of five from Australia (a couple with three adult children) stayed here during a month long road trip in the U.S and absolutely loved this place! We stayed in a lot of great locations during our trip but we all agree(despite our varying ages) that this beautifully preserved village was the best! It's not luxury but rather a...

Look for fossils, wildlife and beautiful views. Make sure to wear good shoes for hiking if it has been raining. The village itself is quaint and full of history. Cute farm with animals on site. One visit earlier in the year we witnessed the birth of a calf. My little one loves it here as do we all
