This is worn out and in need maintenance.. Broken floor tiles in elevator, lots of wall damage in lobby, entrance dirty needs pressure wash, ac in room sounds like a train, draperies off hooks, window did not close completely.. Management did not change rooms.
Run. Do not stay here! There is mold in the bathroom. There is water damage throughout the room. It was not clean at all. When we told the front desk about the mold they sent someone up to spray with bleach which ended up fuming us out. The general manager called the room phone yelling at us for complaining saying “you’re one of those people who don’t pay for their rooms.” Not the case at all, and just did not want to stay in a room with mold. We asked if we could switch rooms and they did offer us another room but it had the same issue. We ended up leaving without receiving a refund due to not feeling safe after the general manager calling and yelling at us. Worst hotel experience ever!
Very comfortable beds. Quiet … but we were on the top floor away from the elevator. Front desk greeter at check-in was a little abrupt, unfriendly. Didn’t look up to see I was standing there while she was waiting for another guest to come back in. Check-out person was very friendly. I would stay here again. Beans cafe and bakery down the street had wonderful food for dinner.
We went to Kentucky last year in May 2021 to go visit the Ark and Creation Museum. When we entered the hotel, the smell was terrible! It smelled like cigars. The whole hotel is very outdated and there were people smoking weed with tons of children around. They promised hot waffles for breakfast but we were given bagels and pop tarts instead ( which is fine, but a little disappointing ). As I said, the rooms were very outdated and the shower curtains didn't work. There were also crazy smoking men (in a smoking free facility!), walking around in their boxers in front of 11 year olds. The staff was nice overall. But, I definitely recommend checking out other hotels before this one! Also, we had a few kids become sick with a virus after this hotel experience.
I went here for a school trip for the ark in 2021. When we made it to the place we would be sleeping it was nasty it claims to be a smoke free place but it is 100 percent not, please do not bring your children here. People were smoking weed on our floor which was so nasty. Breakfast is nasty no waffles like on the website. Men had walked around in their boxers in the hallway not something i want to see when i walk out to my room to leave. Beds are very outdated and nasty. The shower curtains do not work water just goes everywhere. Don't be fooled nasty nasty place. My friend Robert camden campbell got sick after he stayed here. He claimed there was black mold growing in shower and when he told the front desk they did nothing about it.
My husband and I visited the Ark Encounter in Willamstown Kentucky and it was amazing! So much to do and we have never seen anything so special and beautifully done ❤❤❤the theater which is separate from the Ark but and easy walk to it has music , animal presentations and teaching about different subjects is well worth going to.
We've stayed at both the Comfort Suites and the Quality Inn in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. The Comfort Suites is nice and new, but we were pleasantly surprised with the Quality Inn. The Quality Inn was about one half of the price of the Comfort Suites and was 80%-90% as good. They allow pets, the rooms are spacious, the bed was firm and comfortable and the breakfast was above average. The breakfast included sausage and scrambled eggs, bagels and cream cheese and all the other usual offerings. The Quality Inn was also very quiet. We travel through here once every year and will stay here again.
Quality Inn KY 232. The whole building is outdated and needs work. Beds were clean and comfortable. Room had stink bugs. See pictures. Some areas had definitely not seen a broom or dust cloth in awhile.
Dated hotel only one elevator per floor. Room door lock would not lock. Towel in bathroom was dirty. Hair dryer did not work. All sanitizers were empty. Mattress cover very worn. Location location location are excellent for the ARK encounter. Hotel personnel were professional, friendly and helpful. Sadly, we won’t be going back.
We booked this Quality Inn because we have had good experience with this chain in the past. We got to the motel 40 minutes early, but stopped to see if our room might be ready. There was a staff member standing outside the door. She asked if she could help us, and we told her we had reservations. She told us it wasn’t time to check in, they were understaffed, and they were still cleaning the rooms. So we went next door to the Cracker Barrel to get a bite to eat. When we went back to the motel, there was no one at the front desk. After a few minutes, someone noticed us. The check-in went smoothly. The first thing we noticed when we opened the door to our room was a bad oder. When I went into the bathroom, there was a used washcloth hanging over the shower curtain rod. Our window curtain would not close all the way because one of the hooks was not fastened. It wouldn’t have been such an issue, except we were on the bottom floor facing the parking lot. Next morning, the girl in charge of breakfast was so overwhelmed that she couldn’t keep the breakfast bar full. If you are looking for a place to stay close to the Ark, I would recommend looking elsewhere.…
