My company had our annual Christmas this past Saturday night and they paid for a room for all the employees. My check-in with a very pleasant lady, Betty, on Saturday afternoon went smoothly and my room was quite nice - 14th floor with a view of the river and Cincinnati skyline. Our banquet room was also nice, but the food was mediocre to say the least. After dinner and hanging with the group for a bit, I went to my room around 11PM and went to bed. Around 2:15 AM, the room next to mine with the adjoining door sounded like I walked into a bar with loud music and extremely loud talking. I waited until about 2:30 before I called the front desk to complain. The person who answered the phone said he would send someone up to investigate. About 10 minutes later I could hear someone knock on their door and shortly after that it quieted down to a tolerable level. Five minutes after the hotel employee left, the noise level escalated higher than it was before. I waited a bit longer and then got dressed, packed up my stuff and went downstairs to check out. I live 4 hours away and was not relishing the drive home at 3:30 in the morning with only a couple hours' sleep. When I got to the front desk, there was a line of airline pilots checking in that the guest services guy was joking around with and taking an extremely long time to check them in. When it got to my turn, I told the young man who I was and why I was checking out. All he said was "I'll check you out then". I said that's why I'm here - here are my room keycards and I am checking out. He responded quite rudely "I-AM-CHECKING-YOU-OUT"!! Yes, that's why I'm here... He responded again "No, you don't understand... I-AM-CHECKING-YOU-OUT"!! I asked him if that meant he's going to check me out and not bill for the room. And if so, that doesn't give me any satisfaction because I didn't pay for it. One more time all he could say was "I'm checking you out", without answering my question. I meant to get his name but was so livid with the whole situation that I just grabbed my bags and left. I felt he was just trying to get rid of me since he had more airline pilots to check in. On Monday, I alerted my corporate that I will not be attending next year's Christmas party if held at this Marriott - I will not return under any circumstances. And here's the kicker, Tuesday the valet parking charges hit my credit card - HA!! The thought of even paying $30 out of pocket for this experience was too much. I expected more from a Marriott hotel...

Stayed at this hotel over Thanksgiving. They overcharged me $310 for a room. I still haven't recovered the money. Over five calls and multiple hours on the phone trying to recover the overcharges. It's crazy. Don't stay here.

We booked a block of rooms from a wedding many months in advance. Unfortunately, the Marriott exercised their right to cancel any additional rooms from being booked at the group rate after the wedding invitations were mailed (6 weeks prior to wedding) Next the event coordinator was unresponsive to emails and phone calls. We were working to confirm the rooms that were booked and confirming the rental of the hotel van for transporting the guests. The week prior to the wedding we were told there was another wedding party using the hotel van, so we had to scramble to find transportation for the guests The most concerning issue was the security issue. We left our room at 9am and didn’t return until midnight. Upon returning to the room we found broken glass and blood. Someone had been in our room! The front desk offered us a new room. The new room only had one bed and there were three of us in the room. The front desk told us they had no other rooms available. They did offer us 50% off the nights rate and free breakfast, but we were left without enough room to sleep 3 people.

This hotel is located right next to RiverCenter and I got a great view of downtown Cincinnati across the river from my room on 15th floor. The facility looks nice, but in 30 min after my arrival, I already had the following experiences that made me regret my decision to stay at this pricy hotel: - Elevator from the entrance to the lobby floor did not operate in good condition. 3 of us, myself and two hotel employees coming to the afternoon shift, were locked in the elevator until we figured out we have to push the "OPEN" button. You can imagine how scary the situation was. - The front desk person never made an eye contact when I check-in. Although I requested for the late check-out, she immediately responded back "NO!" to me without asking what time I wished to check out. I am GOLD member but I did not feel I was welcomed as a loyal member. - LCD TV was not level at my room. I got sick watching it. - Some of the power outlets were not functioning. I noticed that because my PC told me "low battery". Leaving this kind of trouble could be serious like fire risk if it is not fixed. - plastic bag to collect trash is not properly placed. I would not choose this hotel for my personal trip. requirement

The lobby of the hotel was nice and spacious and the people working at reception were very nice. The room was large and had a king bed, little sofa, decent sized fridge and coffee maker. The view of the river was lovely! Upon my arrival the floors had recently been clean and were still wet. I took a nap and when I woke up they were still wet! It’s probably the material of the flooring but I ended up drying it so I wouldn’t get bleach on my clothes. I was getting ready to go to a wedding and noticed there was no shampoo in the bathroom. I called down twice and it took almost half an hour to get shampoo brought up. The shower pressure was not the greatest and the shower door wouldn’t stay shut. I woke up with a sinus cold and later noticed that although I requested a feather down free room and was told at check in that it was, that only the pillows were foam. I had asked for late check out at 2pm and at 1:40 housekeeping was banging on the door, even though the dnd sigh was out. I responded to say I was still in the room, twice, but she came in anyway to ask me when I’m leaving!!! Wow!
