My wife and I stayed several nights and were very impressed with the hotel for many reasons. First was the hotel's associates. A shout-out to our Housekeeping Aid Tamyra who was very personable, although most importantly insured our room was in place each day to our liking. Thank you Tamyra for making us feel like VIPs. The front desk associate Gracie placed us in a wonderful room that was perfect for our 2-night stay. The location is ideal for walking everywhere. We walked over to downtown Cincinnati four times during our stay. If you are a runner, this hotel is also in the perfect location surrounded by running trails and bridges. The hotel itself is very updated and cleanliness was outstanding. Thanks for a wonderful stay and I have already booked another room for my next stay when I am returning to the area.…
I gave up Courtyards years ago when then put in the "Starbux" kiosks and took out lobby coffee. But this was on our route to Cleveland and close to a restaurant we wanted to go to. We were greeted when we arrived, but as a Gold Elite Marriott member, there was no arrival gift nor upgrade offered. The room was typical Courtyard, but it was clean, comfortable, and had a semi view of downtown Cincinnati. It also had covered parking which was nice since it rained the whole time we were there. Bottom line, either ditch the Starbux and get lobby coffee back (I did order a cup and was handed a cup and directed to an urn of pre-made) or put more than on packet of coffee ( regular, not decaf) in each room....even better, offer extra as a welcome gift instead on water
Looking for a place to stop on my way from Canton to Nashville and this Courtyard was about half way. Overall, the property was very good. The room was clean and neat. The staff that I encountered were all professionally dressed and took care of anything I needed. The check in and check out process was easy. My only complaint is that with the bridge across the Ohio river closed, it was a little difficult to find the place. My Google map took me all over the place. Additionally, you park in a parking garage that is next to the main entrance, however it seemed safe. I did not take advantage of the bistro that they have, so I have no opinion on that. There were numerous breakfast areas within walking distance that offered more options. To conclude, I would probably stay here again, especially if the bridge is back open and it is easier to get to.…
As a longtime Marriott:Bonvoy member, this is not the experience I was used to. Upon check in, there was no warm greeting and no water (instead charging us for water). The desk clerk also gave us poor directions to where we wanted to walk and seemed disinterested in helping. Our room was not clean, as evidenced by the clump of hair in the shower. Furthermore, the shower handle was hanging off the wall.
Hotel was convenient to Cincinnati. Easy ride over a bridge. Places to eat in the area. Gas nearby. COVID-19 restrictions had things a bit locked down (e.g. no pool or hotel restaurant) but we were okay with that. Staff was helpful and pleasant, as well as responsive when we needed something. Room was clean and they gave us one with a nice view when I asked! There is a train that goes by but the noise didn’t bother us. We would happily stay here again.
