Stains on carpet, furniture, ceiling, moldy wallpaper behind elevator shaft. Loud. Sleepy Kids keep asking what all the noise is. Rooms are centered around in a circle and there is a bar on the first floor. Windows into hallways. Worst hotel I may have ever stayed at. Best for teens and young adults. Not recommended for families with young children. Needs to be deep cleaned. Furniture looks modern just very dirty. Carpet separating. If you want to relax and sleep this is not the hotel for you. Convenient to downtown is only plus. Thankful we are here for only a night.
Stayed for an extended time and really appreciated the suite rather than one Great location. Walking distance to restaurants and distance to downtown Cincinnati and Newport only 10 min away. Room was a suite which was like 2 separate rooms with a door. Included refrigerator, microwave and 2nd sink. Happy hour every day, but without snacks during my stay. Free breakfast was good considering the restrictions
This hotel is in disastrous shape. The ventilation system doesn’t work. The shower didn’t work. The mold smell on the rooms is concerning and the place is filthy. The vents are covered in mold and dirt. The staff at the front desk really needs training because when I told him the room wouldn’t cool down and smelled like mold he offered a fan! A fan would only spread the mold! The location of the hotel is beautiful so it is sad they have let the property go.
Honestly the hotel was great. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. It was a very comfortable stay, the only thing I can say is when I left my fiancé and I both were parked there and they are supposed to validate your ticket to get out of the garage we left in his car and came back after to get mine and when we picked mine up they wouldn’t validate my ticket because it was after check out time so that was a bit frustrating, but it could be a policy I just was not aware of.
Not worth the price. Location is great for Reds/Bengals games but it is outdated and dirty. Our friends room had a nasty substance all over the mirror (they did allow them to switch rooms) and our room was just overall not clean. They are short staffed but room rates are too high for the quality of this hotel.
Chose this hotel as on the river and good location for restaurants as a stop for us while traveling south for the Fourth of July. First impression was not good as smelled funny and did not seem clean. The room we entered was open and unlocked and smelly. There was a machine going which could not be explained so they moved us to another room. We called front desk hours later when we returned from dinner as the room was hot and they explained something was wrong with the AC in the building. UGGGH...... Dated and bathroom faucets in shower loose and about to fall off wall. The bar for free drinks was the attraction to most and this is not a perk IMO to stay at a hotel. The staff was friendly, however when in the area again will pass this hotel and stay at the one across the street. Improvement needed to be up to par for me to stay again.…
Great value and space for the money. We stayed here for a local concert. Comfy beds, small kitchenette, clean rooms, great customer service. Free welcome drinks and breakfast were great! Loved the breakfast selections and homemade omlettes! Everything we needed. Would certainly recommend and return!
Excellent Service and Great Staff… Rooms are a little tired. Sinks were stopped up in our room, multiple light bulbs were out and furniture/mattresses a bit tired. Pool area in need of care.. Breakfast was awesome and the egg chef knew her stuff and did it with a smile!! Overall great stay!!
Terrible Embassy suites. Rooms had old dated and worn out furnishings. Holes in the walls. Leaking and wet ceilings. Front desk service sucked. They only clean and service the rooms on request (24 hours in advance). Amenities were missing. For what they charge per night, go to a Motel 6, you will be better off.
While this property boasts new renovations don’t be fooled. At least for me, the experience was the worst. I am a Hilton Diamond member, which means I travel enough to achieve and maintain that status. My status really doesn’t matter as it relates to cleanliness but it’s worth noting. I used my earned points to stay here. Upon entry there was a musty smell. The room was disgusting. I called the front desk and spoke to Anthony. I asked to be made whole and not only did he tell me he couldn’t give a full refund, he barely apologized. He offered to have someone sent to clean. Isn’t that what should be done prior to a guest arriving? Instead of ruining the rest of my night, I called the Hilton Diamond desk to filed a complaint. Eventually I received a full refund of my points, but not without forcing the property do so. The next morning, I spoke to the manager who didn’t seem thrilled after he told me he refunded my points. I guess he can see how unhappy guests feel about entering a terrible experience. Very uncomfortable. The customer service was terrible they don’t even respond to the message option on the app.…
