Our family spent two blissful nights at Barabagh hosted by the refined Aditi. We were welcomed with lunch on the lawn, Aditi perfectly tuning in to what our teen daughters would enjoy (toasted sandwiches and French fries!). This generous hospitality continued with drinks and numerous plates of Indian snacks as we sat by the fire chatting with guests staying in the other of Barabagh’s three tastefully decorated heritage rooms before we moved into the marquee for an outstanding three course, silver service dinner. Whilst there was plenty of opportunity to relax and explore the gardens of this historic ladies’ hunting lodge and for our daughters to read in the comfortable swing seat and play with Aditi’s sweet dog, Cherie, there were more than enough activities to keep us all entertained. Do stay long enough to take the local train ride with Aditi’s recommended guide, it was enormous fun, a trip we’ll never forget and make sure you join Aditi for a jeep ride to the local cave temple and sunset picnic at the lake, this was enchanting and quite timeless. Best of all was the tremendous effort Aditi and her staff had made to ensure we had a memorable Christmas Eve, the marquee was decorated, a Christmas tree placed on the table, we had carols and jolly Christmas music by the camp fire, a special Christmas cake, the dinner menu, whist still traditional Indian, carefully referenced western Christmas flavours and our daughters were given gorgeous gifts, all this a complete surprise and highlighting the care and love that our hostess puts into ensuring every guest is honoured. When we left on Christmas morning, we really felt we were leaving dear friends and our youngest daughter begged to stay longer and for the rest of our trip kept saying she wished she could go back to see Cherie and her mum. Barabagh offers incredible value for this level of royal hospitality and I’d highly recommend making a detour here if you're travelling between Jodhpur and Udaipur.

Barabagh homestay is a beautiful homestay situated amongst farmland in Deogarh . From arranged morning safari to the tasty home cooked meals in the evening our short stay left us feeling revitalsed after the bustle of Delhi . Our host Aditi was wonderful and made us feel very welcome , would love to come back .
Highly recommend.

What a Splendid place this is to be at. It was our second visit (monsoon was my first visit) and am still in aww and don’t feel like coming back to the concrete jungle. The host is very accommodating and sweet, staff very polite and soft, I can bang on say this as we were allowed to step in kitchen and cook/ barbecue to suit our taste and fun. Not just that they grow they own organic veggies so from field to table you can watch and experience it all. Host was sweet to give a bag full as a souvenir❤️.
It’s a huge lush green place with just 3 rooms that makes it a private resort. For birdwatchers and nature lovers it’s a bliss, I personally witnessed around 15 different species of birds.
What is another attraction is the beautiful lake picnic organised by the host, the mesmerising sunset can be witnessed where sky turns golden and then shades of fuchsia as the sun goes down. What interest this picnic more is the safari in jeep where we witness the rural livelihoods.
Horse riding is something my daughter went nuts over, very sweet horse happily takes u around the place and the country side.
Words are too less to describe this place and experience, plan and set go....specially in covid where the staff and exposure to other guest is very low. What makes it vulnerable is its location/ mid of Rajasthan so where ever you are it’s not far away.

Barabagh offers you a unique and authentic Rajasthan experience. The property is lavish and the rooms have been very tastefully done up. The food is downright delicious and the hospitality of the host Aditi and her staff is unparalleled.

What I loved the most about the experience are the very well put together picnics and outings. We had a wonderful lakeside picnic. We did boating, visited the nearby dam and munched on some great food. We were also taken out for a lunch to a nearby farm. We picked the tomatoes ourselves which were cooked on the spot to make some delicious curry.

Do pay Barabagh a visit for a truly memorable and relaxing trip.

This is a beautifully restored 250 year old property in a lovely garden setting in the countryside. A sense of refinement pervades the place. The host, Aditi, is present to greet one on arrival and is there to act as host all through one's stay. We had drinks and conversation around the fire in the evening and she was there whenever needed. We felt restored by the serenity of the place.

When you just want to be out from the noisy polluted cities, this one excellent option to be. A good 8-9hrs drive from Delhi, a hidden Jewel.
The rooms the beautiful and the toilets are well equipped and modern. It's a little off the main Ajmer-Udaipur highway, its quiet, open vast areas to walk around and homely. Serves excellent home like meals and you feel very much at home. Aditi, the owner takes special care to make you feel at home and also helps you with making an itinerary as to what all you can do.
There are lot of things to do around here, horse riding, village safari, cultural shows, and much more. Ideal is a two night stay here.
I am looking forward to spend some more quiet time here soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Barabagh Deogarh despite only staying one night (regretfully, as it seems there are some great activities we missed out on including a jeep drive to a sunset spot).

We arrived to welcome drinks in the garden and our room was delightful- clean, great shower, simple but elegant decor, everything we needed. A special touch was the roses on the room straight from the property’s rose garden.

We enjoyed a special evening under the stars with a fire and delicious meal- all food was probably the best we have had over our two week holiday in India, a real treat ! Most of the ingredients come fresh from the organic garden on the property. We loved the breakfast - definitely worth spending a slow morning over it!

We appreciate the significant effort everyone went to in order to make the stay relaxing. All staff were very friendly and will be remembered, and we are grateful for the parting gift and roses from the garden we received.

We spent the night of 20th Feb ‘20 at Barabagh on our drive back to Delhi from Goa. Built as a ladies hunting lodge, the owners have converted it into a fabulous home stay - with only 3 suites , more to come, I believe.
The place is excellent in respect of comfort, cleanliness, cuisine & service.Aditi is a charming and efficient owner who along with her team ensure that all guests have an enjoyable stay. Our stay was too short. In future would like to visit with family and friends and perhaps book all rooms so that one could relax and enjoy this beautiful property.

A beautiful farm stay, located on the main road, having huge parking space, not to forget run by a lovely couple. Fresh home cooked food is provided by the friendly staff. Do try their tandoori chicken tikka. Much better then even a city 5 star hotel. I guess that is the beauti of a family run property.

It is a lovely location in the middle of virtually nowhere. Almost halfway between Ajmer and Udaipur, little off the picturesque highway through the Arvali hills is this 3 room beautiful property with large lawn, beautiful heritage rooms and a very caring staff. The bird life is excellent and there is a lovely rose garden too. An excellent location for relaxed time. Deogarh palace and the train station named Goram Ghat, from where one case take a scenic train journey to Marwar Junction and back is about 30 Kilometers.
