This hotel is terrible. The staff are not informed. The sheets were stained. There was no heat and no working elevator. We had to slam our bathroom door closed. I am still fighting to try to get my money back. Horrible management.
We had a wedding at nearby state park and stayed Saturday & Sunday. Due to being 60 miles from home and us being the wedding set up team we had to arrive early Saturday morning. We had expensive cupcakes and live flowers for bouquet with us and it was in high 80s. Called ahead and asked manager if we could possibly put them in fridge when we arrived. They said absolutely. We also asked for another BIG accommodation which I won't elaborate on because I' m sure they can't do it in every instance, but they cheerfully.agreed to the accommodation. Motel itself is being renovated. Laundry was closed for retiling. Rooms clean and comfortable but basic. Breakfast wasn't great. Bagels. Frozen microwave.sandwiches. cereal. They have place for eggs and meat as well as a pancake maker but they were closed( likely due to health restrictions with covid) . With the possible exception of Hampton Inn its definitely the nicest motel off the interstate in Carrollton. And management could not have been better.…
Last minute drive-up booking due to highway accident delay. Room had various moldy areas in the shower. Door hinges and hardware (even the bathroom door handle) had rust. Toilet ran (and noisily refilled) all night (every 2 minutes or so). We spent over $140 for this pathetic room - a discount hotel room for a mid-range price. Walked in without a reservation and was told $245!!!! Told the clerk it was $100 less than that on website...so I had to stand at the desk and make the reservation using my phone to get the $140. I should’ve taken the hint and left immediately. Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT STAY HERE. Your car is a better bet.
The hotel is under renovation, from an old style Hilton to the bright Holiday Inn Express brand. We asked for and received one of the renovated rooms. My husband and I really like the built in desk that stretches out to a bench/hanging area to a wardrobe that functions like a traditional closet. It suits the way we travel. The side chair was small enough to move next to the desk chair so that we could share that space. Signs of construction are everywhere. We were assured construction noise stopped at 4pm and had no issues. The hotel is not directly on 71 but easily accessible and quiet.
$100 a night for old bed’s on rollers, hair and stains on the beds. Stains on the ceiling, peeling wallpaper. Beds barley off the floor to the point that you have to reach up to put your phone on the table... shower so nasty I refused to shower!
Clean Hotel with breakfast included. Our room was on the first floor across from the laundry room and had a very noisy night & poor sleep. I recommend getting a room on the top floor so you don't have people tap dancing in the room above you all night.
Drove up a 2:40pm, they refused to check me in until exactly 3PM..... I walked outside and canceled my reservation. Hotel is subpar, it only exists to provide lodging to the local power plant and factories. Cost is 40+ more than the next door Hampton
Drove up, construction debris scattered everywhere, blocking close parking spaces. Check in staff not trained. Couldn’t find reservation so had to show my reservation to her from my phone. Furniture/fixtures/and finishes well worn. Badly in need of updating. Not typical ihg standards. Would not recommend unless in a pinch
The night shift staff was not the friendliest, but the housekeeping staff made up for it with smiles and friendly greetings every morning. Hotel is very clean and breakfast had a few more choices than standard hotel fare. Exercise room was very good, but the monitor on the "business center" computer was not working.
Wow! Felt very uncomfortable in this holiday inn express! Definitely aesthetically the worst holiday inn express we’ve stayed in and we stay at holiday inn express’s frequently! The pictures speak for itself. So run down and old. Although the lobby has been updated and modernized. So maybe they are beginning a much needed renovation. The bathroom handle in room 301 fell off. There was no bed skirt on the bed, you could just see the bed frame. There were stains and rips in furniture everywhere. Positives were the updated lobby, a comfortable bed, and friendly staff. This is strictly a cosmetic issue and cleanliness. Not a staffing issue. So corporate, sink some money in to this location. It’s much needed!
