Very nice classic building convenient for visiting the college campus but the rooms are small. The shower in our room did not work properly. The temperature could not be adjusted above barely warm. We reported the problem but were offered no adjustment. The dining room food was mediocre. The staff was uniformly very pleasant.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your recent tour of Berea College. Since Boone Tavern was originally built in 1909 as a rather large guesthouse for Berea College some of the rooms are quaint which is reminiscent of that time period. I will talk to the frond desk staff about your situation. Thank you for your comments...

This is an update to review I did not long ago. I said that Boone Tavern is a hotel. Now recently things have changed and one can get some booze at Boone if it's with a meal. We just visited and had a pleasant stay. My only problem was adjusting the heat in our room, it was loud and it...

Look, it's not a 5 star hotel, although I gave it 5 spheres on Trip Advisor. We arrived at 8pm and carried out own luggage in, just as I do at most hotels. But the staff is attentive, the rooms are very clean, the price was reasonable and it's the best hotel you'll find on I75 between Chattanooga and Lexington....

Wonderful hotel built in the grand style; large, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, close to downtown shops and crafts, affordable pricing. Excellent restaurant with Southern cuisine on-site. If you are visiting this part of Kentucky, this is a great alternative to conventional chain motels!

This is an excellent hotel! I felt right at home from the moment I walked though the door till the moment I left! The Staff and management went above and beyond to make my stay amazing! The restaurant was superb with a great wait staff and wonderful food, I especially enjoyed the Spoon Bread. The room was small but beautiful...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Boone Tavern Hotel in November 2016. Everything was to our liking. The staff was very helpful and friendly, from the bell men to the front desk people. We will definitely stay again!

My husband and I stayed here in November of 2016 to celebrate his 50th birthday. The hotel itself is charming. The staff was very nice - Mr. Fred is awesome! Check-in and check-out were simple and easy. Aside from that... We were on the 3rd floor facing Main St. The AUDIBLE STREET SIGNAL BEEPS 24/7. Combine that with every single...

LOVED this place! Go learn about Berea College and enjoy this wonderful community. Our suite was very comfortable- sunny, well-appointed, beautifully furnished and a HUGE bathroom with a massive jacuzzi. The robes and slippers were way above the average hotel issue and the staff could not have been nicer. From top server Taylor (loved this kid!) to Rhea at the...

Definitely wouldn't stay here again. We waited until 4 to check-in. That's the normal time for check-in. They had given someone a late check out by management per front desk, we were with another couple. One room was ready and one was not. Checked in the room and it wasn't great. Hair in the sink. No Kleenex so they didn't...

This was our second visit. We enjoy history. This of hotel creeks and moans...it is wonderful. The hallways roll and sway. The rooms are small by today's standards. The hotel was upgraded true to period, a couple of years ago.Request rooms in the front over looking the small park.Nearby is a Berea College and the coffee shop down the block is student run.
