I did not sleep well the first nor second night as to shortly after first entering my king bed room a roach crawled across the floor. Despite arriving from Cincinnati at the hotel near 1 AM and being dog tired I was sure every blast of air from the air conditioner or sheets running over my body was an army...

This is an older motel, but the bedroom part seemed to have been updated fairly recently. The shower was low enough that at 5'4.5" I thought I might have to duck, and my husband definitely had to duck to use the shower properly. While the bathroom was small, there was a good sized closet and dressing area outside with a...

First of all, that is not the correct photo. Photo is of the Talbot Inn G. Nelson Inn is a two story motel with outside corridors - paint peeling off the steps going up to second floor. Only thing renovated in the room is the toilet and they couldn't even get the seat on correctly (wobbles). Thin foam mattresses, lumpy...

Check in was smooth. The room was clean. The bed was awesome. The cable was intermittent. The free hot or cold breakfast was a nice touch. Nothing fancy, but adequate. The pool was heated, and clean, and we might have used it if the weather was a bit warmer. We walked 10 minutes to downtown a few times. We also...

This hotel is under new management and they are working hard to make improvements. When we arrived (on a Wednesday), new black top was being applied. The next morning, painters were working on the doorways and a landscaping crew was trimming hedges and doing related work. They have done a nice job upgrading the property and have started upgrading the...

Very nice older hotel. We stayed here 3 nights and used the hotel as our home base for shopping and visiting the distilleries. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our room was at the back of the hotel and it was quiet. The front of the hotel is close to the road. If possible get a room at...

I was originally booked to stay at the motel across the street, but they could not locate my reservation. I am so glad I changed to the General Nelson Inn. Of course this is not a luxury hotel, but the property is ideally located; the rooms are clean; and they serve a full hot breakfast daily. The owner and the...

Stayed here because it is within walking distance to downtown Bardstown. Room was clean and staff is friendly. Is an older hotel but kept very nice. Only downside is the shower is not made for anyone over 5 ft 8. Would stay again.

The hotel room was probably remodeled in the 50's and the breakfast is very low quality. I'd try to find another place if you can find one. Bardstown is a small town and I'm sure there are better accommodations just a couple miles from here.

Staff were nice, beds were comfy. The room was not totally clean, and furniture were worn out. Would rather stay somewhere else next time, but it was okay. Breakfast was okay but not nice, the breakfast room was dark and the people working there just sat and stared at us while we were eating.

Thank Sofia B
