The Beautiful Dreamer is a first class B & B run by a couple who give it their all. Our room was spacious, the bed huge and comfortable, and the Jacuzzi almost big enough for two. Breakfast was delicious. Although the inn is located on a main drag, we had no issues with the traffic even though our room faced...

Great location. Great rooms. Good people that were very helpful. They had menus of all local restaurants. They showed us around the house. It was built especially to be a B&B and it shows. The breakfast was family style and very well done. We will stay here again.

We stayed four nights in June 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We had the Stephen Foster Room which is on the first floor. It features a whirlpool bath for two plus a shower. The room is very tastefully decorated based on a Stephen Foster theme. The breakfasts were excellent with something different every day. Snacks and cold drinks are...

During Derby week/weekend, hotel rates around Louisville quadruple or more, so we opted for a stay in quiet and peaceful Bardstown. An added benefit was avoiding post-race traffic in the city by parking at the fairgrounds. We had the Beautiful Dreamer suite and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and Dan and Lynell are excellent, helpful hosts. The house...

They are very helpful for all your needs while visiting. Breakfast was fabulous. The inside of the home is wonderfully maintained and decorated. My wife and I enjoyed staying at this Bardstown gem, the Beautiful Dreamer. Hosts Dan and Lynell were warm and gracious, and the accommodations as inviting as the pretty Kentucky countryside. The home sits on a bluff directly across from "My Old Kentucky Home," Stephen Foster's inspiration and an historic treasure in its own right. Lynell's home-cooked breakfast was excellent...

Dan and Lynell run an impeccable B&B. We stayed in the Beautiful Dreamer room. We stayed for one evening, and wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely make our way back. The house was centrally located, well-maintained, clean, quiet, comfortable, nice amenities, and a wonderful breakfast for a send-off.

We returned to Bardstown area for another round on the Bourbon Trail and could not resist the temptation to introduce our family to the Beautiful Dreamer. Once again, the owners did not disappoint us at all. My daughter exclaimed as we were shown around, "I just want to move in!". The rooms are clean, very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast...

We stayed two nights and we had a wonderful experience. It is about a half-mile distance wise to downtown Bardstown and directly across from My Old Kentucky Home. “Beautiful Dreamer Bed and Breakfast” and is owned by two of the sweetest, kindest people you’ll ever meet – Dan and Lynell Ginter. They are terrific hosts; they are there when you...

“We were on the ground floor. The guests above us got up very early, 5:30 or so, and made a racket until they left an hour or so later. I suspect that this is not a common occurrence.”

“A room with a Jacuzzi is an added romantic touch.”

“US 150 in this area connects Springfield to Bardstown and it runs directly in front of the inn; which means lots of traffic noise. Cars as well as trucks use the route. We found the traffic noise began around 5:30am and to be continuous until about 10-10:30pm. There is no public transit on this route. There are sidewalks into town. I only point this out; we had no problem sleeping as traffic was not an issue during sleep hours for us.”
