If you are looking for a place that offers a complimentary breakfast or even coffee (before 8am) well, keep looking. When I arrived I saw the coffee pot at the reception counter and I asked the German/Polish manger if she provided something to start the day with, like donuts & coffee and she spoke firmly, "Nothing, but coffee, but coffee...

After 5 years owning the 1st Travel Inn we found out: You can't please everyone. For a discounted rate of $54.00 some guests expect all the amenities a High Dollar Hotel offers. That there is no coffee before 8 am and no breakfast the guest knew before he decided to stay. He even inspected and checked out the room beforehand....

We were driving through Kansas and needed a place to stay overnight. The reviews about this place were very helpful. It is a clean, quiet old fashioned place with caring owners. We got a senior rate of $57 (cash) for two beds on the first floor, fridge and microwave, plus free wifi. Parking is right in front of your door....

What a great place to stay when it's 103 degrees outside! The pool was small and family-oriented, and the owners gave our daughter a free set of water wings to keep. The wi-fi didn't quite reach our room, but that's OK -- we wanted to be outside the room on chairs in the evening anyway. Overall, it's a very friendly...

This is an older facility, but it has been remodeled and is lovingly cared for. It is away from the Interstate and pleasantly quiet. The sleeping area had a queen bed, a sofa, TV, a mini microwave and refrigerator, and a dining table. There were two chairs, one at a desk and one at the bathroom vanity. My husband and...

After trying a room at the #2 rated hotel (Annie Oakley Motel) and finding the room smelling too much of smoke, we were sent here by the owner. The room was instantly clean and I asked to see it before committing to staying there. The owner's son showed me the room and followed me around wiping up after me as...

After reading all the positive reviews, I chose to stay here on a cross country trip with my dog this Spring. I was not disappointed. It's a very basic renovated motel from the 50s, with all the modern amenities and improvements one expects. Charming and homey, but nothing extraordinary. I'm giving it five stars for outstanding fresh-scrubbed cleanliness!

This was a nice, clean, inexpensive hotel. It's a bit dated but the room was spotless. I was traveling with my family including our dog and needed a place to spend the night. We read positive reviews for this hotel online and decided to check it out. It was perfect for us. The price was very modest. The room was...

Very highly recommended. Owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The area is quiet and safe. Very easy to get to. Did not have any of the highway noise that most places have. The best value that I have found in a long time for the quality and friendliness that you receive. I will...

This motel is a step back in time. It retains much of its 1950s era decor as a U.S. Highway 83 motel: Outside room entrances, aqua tile in the bathrooms, simple furnishings, and not that many rooms. The proprietors seem to live in quarters attached to the property. I have stayed there twice in the last few years and have...

My husband and I left home for a much anyicipated trip and he was unexpedtedly hospitalized the night before our reservation and they will not make an exception even for that. The man on the phone said he had no proof. Well, obviously if my husband is in the hospital, I can provide proof. He was quite rude.
