I have visited before with no problem and really enjoyed the facility which is why I chose the Oread again. Several days after my visit I began receiving charges to my credit card. It took 4 days days for management call me back to explain the charges. If I managed to damage the upolstry or something I'd have apologized and...

I was there for a three night business stay and was very impressed with The Oread. The rooms are spacious, clean, with an updated look. I had a great view and although they provide you ear plugs in case the KU campus noise is an issue, I didn't notice anything and wasn't disturbed. The bar and restaurant onsite are great...

Stayed here on a business trip last month and was very happy! The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the service was fantastic. All of the food was great as well. The rooftop seating was beautiful. Within walking distance of downtown as well.

I was only at the hotel for one night, hosted by friends who were in town to see a basketball game and tour their high school-aged son around campus. A great location for seeing the campus and not an unreasonable walk to Mass Street. We sat in the hotel lounge for happy hour and dinner - very lively with post-game...

2 night stay over the weekend in a 5th floor suite. Very nice accomodations! Fast elevators and beautiful hotel. Was not noisy at all even though it was event weekend. Lobby crowded at times but there is no excuse ever for 10 dollar drinks (including wine and prosecco) being served in plastic cups. Hate for the hotel to have to...

Went there last night for a friends birthday party. We know the lady who helped arrange the party. She arrived a little late because of prior commitments. When she got the she went to get something to eat. She was upset because there were suppose to be 4 appetizers on the buffet they set up and there was only 2...

Very comfortable accommodations Only reason I did not rate excellent is because there were no coffeemakers in rooms! Nice extras available: Hot Box Cookies, Pizza, etc. Delicious food and drinks! Even though I did not find it too loud and did not use it, ear plugs and a sound machine were available in the room.

Don't want to Uber everywhere during your KU weekend? This is the place. Walking distance to The Wheel, The Hawk and Allen Fieldhouse (our group, mid fifties, average health). The Oread has a nice restaurant, bar and late night pizza option during the school year. The only criticism I have is there are not coffee makers in the rooms. This...

This place looks like a castle! The rooms all have high ceilings and very nice bathrooms. We were there for a wedding and you could tell there were other college formals going on as well. The place never seemed overcrowded and everyone treated us like royalty. The bartender Steve was great and so was the front desk lady Ivana. I...

During a campus visit to KU stayed at the Oread and it did not disappoint. The hotel is a stones throw to the KU campus. It's a beautiful old hotel built out of limestone so it gives a very rustic feeling to it. The staff from the front desk to the valets to the bartender was exceptional and made you...
