In OUT OF AFRICA Meryl Streep says: I had a farm in Africa … and our story carries on from here. Paying for your accommodation is part of "owing and buying into" this amazing Namib Rand Conserve … extremely well kept, clean and very conscious to keep nature natural and unspoiled. You can also do a private contribution to the...

Since you are looking for an isolated place to experience the Namibia's desert is the best place to stay. Nice tours, a perfect ballon sunrise and excellent staff able to help on any need. You are in isolated place, so do not expect in a wide range of food option during the meals, but everything we'll prepared. No power energy,...

Dear Guest Indeed, one of the highlights of visiting Wolwedans is the joy of experiencing the peace and tranquility that comes with being in a remote location. In terms of cuisine, the chef prepares a culinary feast each evening, serving a range of both local items with every five-course meal. It is thus rather puzzling that you found the meals...

It's my third time to enjoy the magnificent Wolwedans lodge and the gorgeous private NamibRand Nature Reserve! Normally I come with my husband for one week, this time I came alone for one week - to take a time off for myself. And one of my dreams came true: enjoying the beautiful landscape and the awesome sundowners on the back...

Wolwedans was probably our favorite lodge in Namibia. From the well-appointed chalets and the incomparable vistas, to the very good food and general kindness of the staff, Wolwedans is a top quality, well-run establishment. A two- or perhaps three-night stay is perfect, as besides taking in the wonderful scenery, there's not a whole lot to do. Lodge manager Hendrick and...

Dear Guest, thank you for posting such a positive review of Wolwedans. Owing to travel itineraries, some clients may choose to stay for a night or two. However, several guests do opt to enjoy the scenic drives, hot air ballooning, safari walks or horse-riding activities at the Wolwedans. In such cases, the clients often prefer to stay at our lodges...

Excellent service at the Dunes Lodge by all staff. All very friendly and extremely helpful. Guide judged his time exceptionally well and was very informative and well presented. Our trip succeeded in allowing us to breakaway and be fully rested.

What a great stay at Wolwedans! The property is magical with great views over the area and a stunning canopy of stars to admire in the evenings. The food was excellent, including perfectly prepared oryx to delight the senses! The staff were very warm and friendly and the guide extremely knowledgeable.

Dear Guest Your glowing review of our establishment is much appreciated. The team is especially pleased that you enjoyed the oryx. The antelope is unique to the arid areas of Africa and the meal was a variation of a local speciality created for our guests by the chef. Wishing you well in your travels. Kind regards Magdalena

The setting is certainly unsurpassed in beauty and serenity. We could almost forgive the ridiculously small portions of uninspiring food throughout the weekend, but certainly found the revolting coffee absolutely inexcusable given the international prices the hotel charges! The staff are very friendly, but not very well trained - most waiters had no idea what they were serving most of...

Dear Guest Thank you your review. Your complaint regarding meals and coffee, was certainly a cause for concern among the management. Under normal circumstances, the chef takes pride in creating a wide array of culinary delights, both local and international. It is unfortunate that this seemed not to have been the case during the period of your stay. The matter...

We stayed for 3 nights in Woledans Dune Lodge and it was just perfect! The surrounding, nature, landscape ...we enjoyed the bungalows very much - a little fridge for some drinks might be helpful - but was also ok without, a nice breeze went trought the tent at night. One night we got strong wind and it was quiet cold,...

Wolwedans consistently is the best managed, high quality lodge in Namibia for us. The food is unparalleled, the staff helpful and well-trained or in the process of being trained carefully (hotel and catering school), the guides are accommodating and knowledgeable.
