First of: Blarcreen house is in "the middle of nowhere". So if you are expecting to stay "near" Oban, you are in for a surprise. The house can only be reached via a narrow road and just putting the postcode in your satnav will surely bring you to the wrong place. So read the directions on the site, or (as...

My wife and I spent two nights here and we were both very impressed with attention to detail shown in all the rooms. We also noticed the high quality products used in both the bathroom and the bedroom, no expense was spared here. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful and I could not fault anything about our stay. The location...

This was a single night stay to visit the Oban area with some American visitors. Sian and Garry were very hospitable and the rooms were just as shown. Several additional nice touches including the excellent homemade cake and tea upon arrival. Breakfast was excellent too with various homemade elements such as Bread and preserves. We stayed in several places over...

Our stay at Blarcreen House was just perfect. We'd booked a Jacobite train tour rather late in the game, and wanted to stay nearby the night before. All the rooms in Fort William were booked, forcing us out into the countryside, and we are so glad it happened that way. Blarcreen House is quite hard to reach, and our GPS...

This is a delightful B & B with very comfortable accommodation, excellent breakfast and delightful, helpful and welcoming proprietors! We were only staying one night on our way to an extended tour of the Hebrides, however after staying for just one night we felt that we would like to return for a few days holiday in this relaxing and comfortable...

Back to Blarcreen House again for our second visit of 2014 and what a great time we had. The hospitality was as great as ever despite Sian and Garry having a busy time. Nothing is ever too much trouble and no detail is ever missed. If you like luxury and comfort, but at a great price, this is the place...

By far one of our nicest stays on our Ireland/Scotland trip. The room was large, beautiful and luxurious; from the four poster bed to the nicely remodeled bathroom. The views from our corner room were just fabulous. Sian was so very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was one of if not the best on our trip. We were unlucky enough to...

This place breathes serenity. The surroundings are very beautiful, and so is the interior. Perfect and romantic rooms and lovely hosts makes it a good place for a honey moon. About the location: On the countryside not very far away from Oban, reached via a very narrow road, makes it possible to rate it both high and low depending on...

I would give this place a 5 except the road to the Blarcreen is a little narrow and the 4 miles might be difficult for some. The rooms are great with view that look like they are from a painting. Larg, spotless, comfortable. Friendly host and high qualit breakfasts. Good value for an upscale accomodation in a great area.
