Rob and Kim, owners, were awesome. We stayed in "Gina's" room. Very comfortable, excellent décor. Breakfasts fantastic - 3 courses with narrative from Rob! The grounds are landscaped beautifully. Nice sitting areas on main floor as well as the 2nd floor.

What a WONDERFUL place to stay! To say the hospitality was GREAT isn't enough. Kim and Rob are such wonderful hosts. They make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. And the breakfasts were out of this world. Everything fresh and beautifully presented, never went away hungry. Room was beautiful and quiet. Love love loved this B & B!

We decided to do a mini "staycation" for our anniversary, making the short drive from Des Moines to stay a night at The Cheesemaker's Inn. We are so glad we did! The room was very nice and relaxing with great amenities. We ate pizza on the front porch and watched the bicyclist go buy. Breakfast was absolutley fabulous and the hosts were personable and informative. This was a great location and we rode our bikes on the Lake Red Rock Trail and to Pella for shopping.

First, the place is immaculate. Well landscaped grounds, beautiful rooms and the nicest innkeepers you could ask for! The breakfasts were regional AND unbelievable tasty. We took home a few of the recipes and they are now staples in our home meals. We will be back !

Fantastic stay. Kim made an excellent breakfast of dutch pancakes, yogurt with homemade granola, fruit, bacon, and cheese samples from the family's cheese farm. The inn was a perfect mix of original yet modern. We enjoyed strolling the streets of Pella and touring the family's cheese farm. One of the best bed and breakfasts we have stayed at in Iowa!

This place was great! Stayed one night while we were in town to see tulips. This is conveniently located - about 5 minutes from downtown. Kim and Rob will direct you anywhere! They made us feel right at home in their home - which they absolutely love. Pretty grounds, great rooms, and delicious breakfast made with LOVE.

Kim makes the best breakfast! It alone is worth the price. The dutch pancakes were my favorite, but everything was excellent. Rob was a great host and gave us a tour of their family's cheese farm, along with providing great recommendations around Pella. The rooms were very nice and quiet. We will be back. :)

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Cheesemaker's Inn is a restored turn-of-the century farmhouse located 5 minutes from downtown Pella and 5 minutes from Lake Red Rock. Located directly on the biking/walking trail that joins Pella and the lake, you can also bike or walk to these locations. There are four second-floor guest suites at the recently renovated inn, each with a private bath and modern comforts. The rooms are uniquely decorated with themes that range from rich and elegant to cottage-chic. Two of the rooms have private sun porches and all 4 have queen-sized beds fitted with luxurious linens. Each suite has individual temperature controls, free 5G WiFi, cable and internet access on smart flat-screen TVs. The complimentary breakfast includes garden and dairy-fresh ingredients when possible and homemade Dutch pastries or specialities from Pella meat markets. The Inn is the birthplace of Frisian Farms Cheese Company, a working family dairy farm now located 8 miles east of town. The Inn coordinates tours to Frisian Farms and always includes samples of Frisian Farms' artisanal Gouda cheese in its menus. We recommend combining a farm tour with the nearby Tassle Ridge winery a short distance away. Our mission at The Cheesemaker's Inn is to encourage you to slow down and savor local foods in the relaxed farmhouse atmosphere of our family home. It is the personal details at the Inn that make staying with us a special experience. ... more   less
