Stayed three nights. Although room is old it was very good. Large room, comfortable bed, clean and spacious bathroom. Toaster, cutlery and crockery provided which is cost saving for travellers. Restaurant and food very good with nightly specials. Would definitely recommend.

The food was good and the service was excellent. However ,a basic selection to choose from and you get the feeling that they are really just catering for there in-house guests. A good selection of wines by the glass and at a reasonable price. Value for money, but i would have liked to have had a bigger choice on the... More

Booked a birthday dinner for 11 people including 4 kids, service and food was terrific, was made to feel very welcome and there was a little play area for kids. Great value for money. Would definately recommend :)

Upon arrival there was no booking recorded for us, a group of eight. It was lucky they were not booked out or we could have been in trouble. It was later learnt that there WAS a booking made by us but it failed to be added to their evening list of table bookings. The food was ordered and delivered with... More

Not much to look at from the outside but once you get into the main eating area things start to get interesting. The food is fresh and good large servings,. The meat is from an award winning butcher and the chef/cook has a knack of getting the taste just right. The staff in their uniforms add to the atmosphere .... More

Had a lunch with my Mum and picked off the main menu list. Saying that the Seniors meal that some others had looked pretty good and value at $10 for a meal and $14 for meal, sweets and coffee was exceptional. Mum had what looked to be plump and succulent scallops and I had a chicken Caesar salad. All fresh... More

We went there Friday night for dinner as we were staying next door at the cosy cabins. When we arrived the bar staff said they were fully booked, but we were welcome to eat at the tables near the family bar. We had a great meal. The following night we decided to go again, and again we didn't have a... More

Stayed a night here while settling into Hobart. The room was surprisingly nice - clean and fairly modern. The outside could do with a bit of a clean up though. The bistro in the pub has some great $10 meals Tuesday - Sunday. Well worth the visit even if you arnt staying

We had dinner here whilst staying at the discovery van park next door. I had the Saturday special (wild wings) and my partner had the drunken Irish chicken. Wow. Both meals were huge and the prices were very reasonable. The girls behind the bar were so friendly and helpful. Totally recommend this place for lunch or dinner and we'll be... More

We went here for dinner with the family on Saturday night , the food was so good the service sublime they staff couldn't do enough for you . The staff went as far as to apologize for the lack of atmosphere , it was quiet but that's just what you want when your meeting up with people you haven't seen... More
