After arriving we were shown to our table and offered drinks at the bar. The staff are so professional and friendly. We went through to the restaurant and were offered 4 different meats and fresh veg, also some lovely sauces. A real Sunday treat.

Absolutely enjoyable from the minute we walked in... Greeted and shown to our table by staff who couldn't of done anymore for you.. we sat in the lounge which has been refurbished and looks great, nice clean and cosy so much better and more inviting then before. The food was lovely, we had a party of 5 and clear plates... More

Haven't been for a while. Always enjoyed sitting in the Cosy little lounge to eat. The lounge has been re-furbed and unfortunately looks more like a cafe now. The background music was shocking but I suppose that personal taste , I just prefer something upbeat than Jim reeves and montivani. Our late 70s parents agreed though! Can understand that the... There can't be many places in England that serve up Belhaven Best. But there's more... Belhaven Black - a succulent Scottish stout is also served. Just right for washing down a fine autumn Sunday Carvery. We had a family lunch here and (once you knew the drill about getting a ticket for the meal and joining the queue) it was... More

I explained to you that we are not a "microwave" establishment and meals that... More

About 30 of us went for the Sunday carvery, I was a bit unsure as to what it would be like as there was a lot of us, although we had booked. Very pleasantly surprised, excellent value for money and delicious. Certainly no shortage of meat . Highly recommend and will certainly go again. Cannot comment on the hotel as... More

We booked table for 4 to eat at 8pm but out friends were held up. No problem at all. We had a drink and chat with the landlord in the bar.The Red Lion is a very old Inn with all the charm of an old building. When our friends arrived we were shown to our table and orders taken. The... More

We went for the Sunday carvers on my birthday the place was very very busy as there was a 90th party, we felt we had to be seated in the bar area as the restaurant was full. Have received better service in other places it felt more like a canteen. The food was average and reasonably priced but we will... More
