Visited here whilst staying with family in Lincoln. Such a lovely pub, I knew from the offset this place was going to be good when people were queuing outside waiting for it to open!! I had a beef Carvery which was £8, what a bargain!! Lovely meal, only criticism was the Yorkshire pudding, they weren't homemade. Would visit again in...

We have now stayed twice at The Red Lion, Dunston and can recommend it for simple but comfortable accommodation, tasty pub meals and breakfasts as well as friendly and helpful staff. The lodge-style bedrooms were more than adequate for our needs. We will certainly be back.

Six of us booked for a birthday party. On arrival, I thought the car park was tired with loads of rubble piled up. Beer garden also lacked and needed a clean up. We were seated by a friendly member of staff. It was a shame we were in the non restaurant side. For me the place lacked a bit of...

Regulars who never have had a disappointing meal. Today's carvery was excellent as usual. The staff go that extra mile to ensure you enjoy your experience. Didn't feel rushed even though aware there were several sittings. Keep up the good work Red Lion and your friendly accommodating staff make the experience worthwhile.

The Staff and the manager are always so lovely and helpful. However we visited on Saturday lunch time around...

I would just like to apologise for the misunderstanding, I thought the kitchen had already been closed down, the clock in the bar was reading after 2pm, as we finish our lunchtime service at 2pm I assumed it was closed. I am deeply sorry for upsetting yourselves this was not my intention. Please if you would give me the opportunity...

Had a lunch time meal there today. The good point was the waitress who greeted us in a friendly manner, showed us to our table and was very helpful and friendly all the time we were there. The table for 4 was small ( we are not large people ) and pressed hard against a wall so no lateral elbow...

After arriving we were shown to our table and offered drinks at the bar. The staff are so professional and friendly. We went through to the restaurant and were offered 4 different meats and fresh veg, also some lovely sauces. A real Sunday treat.
