beautifully decorated, clean spacious rooms in a pastoral setting. knowledgeable and friendly host. kid-friendly location, and a good value considering the whole package. the room we had seemed newly redecorated and remodeled... it all seemed really nice. we would gladly have stayed longer, but it's a bit out of the way of the chateaux by bike (but not too far...

Few rooms in a cosy environment and hosts that are extremely friendly. Me and my wife stayed for three nights in a very clean and tidy room right aside the main house. The breakfast is always composed of fresh bread and some croissants with some delicious (and sometimes exotic) homemade jams. If you have the chance, dine with the hosts....

We had a lovely stay here - we were made very welcome. The room we had was excellent (although the bathroom & toilet were on the ground floor and the bedroom on the first, so make sure you have a torch handy). We wandered round the lovely garden, and visited the sheep and donkeys before an excellent communal meal where...

The Touraine region is absolutely splendid in all seasons, and staying at Le Clos des Augers is the perfect complement to the picture. We stayed at the Balzac house, which provided privacy and total comfort to us and our 12 years old daughter. Other options are available, for couples or larger parties. Le Clos is away from any traffic or...

We spent 3 days at Le Clos des Augers last November in the bed and breakfast room Balzac. Dany & Philippe are wonderful hosts, they provide a variety of accommodation from their 3 bedroom eco gite, a roulotte with terrace and pond, plus bed and breakfast. Their property is wonderful to stay at as they have large grounds to wander...

We stayed 2 nights in the middle of October 2013. Philippe and Dany were perfect hosts and the meals were wonderful. They serve dinner on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings only, so if like us you are there on Sunday and Monday you get the benefit of two delicious dinners (all inclusive including aperitifs and wine with the meal)....

4 of us stayed at this B&B for one night on our return trip back to Calais/UK. The hosts Dani and Phillipe are genuinely nice people and made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The place is very much loved with quirky antiques on display and a very well looked after vegetable patch. For dinner we had...

We are Americans who speak a little French. We discovered Le Clos des Augers by chance in 1996, and have returned 6-7 times to stay with Dani and Philippe in their comfortable rooms, and Dani's Coq au Vin is the best we have ever tasted. They speak enough English to make Americans very welcome, and Dani is an expert at...
