This Inn is truely a gem, one of the nicest places i have ever stayed in all my travels let alone Iowa city... Beats many a 5 star boutique hotel hands down. Beautifully decorated, very cosy, impecably clean. The innkeepers are so hospitable nothing is too much trouble, and Marks cooking skills are out of this world. I would return...

My partner Mark and I just got back from visiting Iowa City in order to get married. We had an incredible time, made even more incredible by the hospitality of Mark and Bob at the Brown Street Inn. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms are beautiful but in no way over...

This was our first visit to Iowa City. Staying in the Brown Street Inn helped make it a very pleasant one. The inn is comfortable and inviting. It is beautifully furnished and decorated, yet you don't feel afraid to move around or sit down as in some B&B's. The suite was perfect for two people, especially since we stayed multiple...

Excellent staff, clean, cozy and charming place. Quiet neighborhood in a walking distance to downtown Iowa City. Awesome breakfast! I really loved the place, I was happy with my choice - I will stay here again, whenever I have to go back to Iowa City.

This is a wonderful B&B. I needed to be very focused on my business in the area and the B&B was a perfect place to do that. The rooms were quiet and spacious. The beds were so comfortable. The owners were friendly, engaging, and professional. They gave me space when I needed it and they also shared in conversation when...

The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The inn is situated in an historic neighborhood. It was not far to downtown Iowa City, yet there was very little traffic. The breakfast fare was excellent, with locally-grown items prevalent. The owners know a lot about local history and activities, and can make excellent suggestions on what to see and do. Overall, it...

We have stayed at the Brown Street several times before. They are busy so ring early as it fills up. My daughter and I wanted a post Thanksgiving relaxing overnight. Exactly what we got. And the hosts are witty, intelligent and so gracious. The house is so pretty, and the room was new to us and lovely. I cannot recommend...

We have stayed in many "Inns" throughout the United States, as well as in their European counterparts, but we have never had a more pleasant experience. The innkeepers have managed to create a charming inn without overwhelming guests with artificial "Americana," which is the downfall of so many similar efforts. Our room, the Suite Room, was spacious and quiet and...

Over the last three years we haved stayed there every trip to visit our daughter. The house is beautifully appointed, and the innkeepers make you feel like part of the family. They have great suggestions for restaurants and things...

The Inn was in spotless condition. Really clean, not a thing out of place. Mark, one of the owners was super friendly an was...
