Absolutely the WORST night ever spent at a hotel. Unprofessional owner whose dog runs up and down the halls most of the night barking, party going on in piano room till 3 AM, wallpaper peeling off bathroom walls, water soaked ceilings,,,I could go on and...More
We made a side trip by train to this historic small town during our summer visit to Chicago. The outstanding service began when we were picked up at the train station (coordination ahead of time assured staff was waiting for us). Checkin and Checkout were...More
We stayed here 10 years ago and knew we had to come again. The Inn is immaculately clean and the owner is on site. Because we were on the motorcycle he offered to let me park it in his personnel garage. Take a walk thru...More
This is a quaint little inn. Not to be missed. The room was great. We almost had the place to ourselves. The next morning we called about the breakfast and the owner came and made us omelettes. We were hoping the restaurant next to the...More

The Kingsley has five second floor rooms and three third floor rooms overlooking the Mississippi. There is a restored pre War of 1812 pallisade fort and River View Park just across the road from us. The river is just beyond.
One of the second floor rooms is a King (rm203), another is a double (rm204), and the remaining three rooms are queens with spa tubs (rms 205-207) The third floor rooms are queens (303-305).
We also have the Governor's Suite on the third floor with seven floor to ceiling windows. the views from these windows are really quite lovely.

"Rooms on front face noisy train tracks but rooms have white noise machines. River view from front is stunning."
