We came here for an overnight to make a family historical trip. The room was lovely, the bed was quite comfortable, and it was quiet. Some details need attention: the fan in the bathroom is missing its dial, one of the shades didn't work, and there was a lightbulb missing in one of the lamps. Other than that, it was...

At first glance the exterior of this historic home looks fantastic but look a little closer and it's not hard to see the place could use lots of improvements. The interior of the house appeared to be mostly original and was at one time nicely restored. You can tell someone spent the time and money to do it right but...

Most of guests are here to stay and enjoy the ambiance of bygone areas surrounded by antique furnishings and reproduction. Our price for the service is very competitive in town and in surrounding neighborhood. When you checked in on Sat. the 18th Feb., our mansion was full, no vacancy: one innkeeper, wearing multiple hats, had to prepare up to 30...

We enjoyed our stay at the Redstone Inn. Our host was well versed in the local history and of the inn itself. The inn does need a little TLC, but it is very charming and quaint. I would definitely stay again.

The Redstone Inn is within walking distance to the downtown area of Dubuque. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The Inn is in need of some TLC, but it is still a very nice place to stay. Our breakfast was a simple egg and ham on a bagel with an assortment of fruit, cereal, yogurt and sweets on the...

I took my partner and my parents there. The lobby looked great, but I was shocked at the rooms. The wallpaper was peeling, appliances weren't plugged, the rooms were stuffy, etc. The breakfast was basically the level of a McDonald. It felt like management was trying as cheap as possible on every aspect, neglecting maintenance while still renting the rooms...

Host was very gracious. Loved the Victorian architecture and antiques! We had the least expensive room (at the very top) which was charming but could use some updates, especially in the bathroom where the wallpaper is peeling in several places. Loved sitting out on the cool stone porch at night and listening to the crickets. Also loved that this is...

My honey always wanted to stay in this Bed & Breakfast because of the old time feel and archeticture of this place. It has lots of history and indeed it's like we step back in time into the 1800's. The big heavy door, the old wood trimmings, carvings and decor makes you feel you are back in the good old...

I called a few days ahead to ask if we could possibly come early to change clothes for a wedding and was told that if would cost extra (seriously?) When I asked how much extra the man asked what time we needed to come I was told VERY rudely "that's not possible" Thinking that I might have spoken to an...

We have been going to Redstone for 2 years and have visited there 6 or 7 times. It is beautiful, peaceful and the Inn Keeper Robert is very gracious and helpful. The Inn is immaculate, smells wonderful, the beds firm and comfortable and all the amenities you could want. It is such character and charm. It is such a peacful...
